I attempted to return an item to Bax…
I attempted to return an item to Bax Music at the beginning of December. It is now over six weeks later and I am still waiting for my nearly £400 refund.
Communication has been shockingly poor. I have had to repeatedly chase them via email, and most of the time I receive no response at all. I’ve given them multiple chances to keep me updated or even acknowledge my messages, but nothing has changed.
This has been an incredibly frustrating and stressful experience. A refund should not take this long, especially with no communication. At this point I am completely at my wits’ end, I simply want the money that I am owed.
I would strongly advise others to think twice before ordering if you value reliable customer service and timely refunds.
Bought guitar case
Bought guitar case, it arrived with large black mark. No reply customer service on phone. Sent photos , had to upload to WeTransfer, they downloaded it & never bothered to reply. Crap service.
Appalling service, misleading dispatch claims, and money held hostage
I placed an online order with Bax Music on 8 January, with an estimated delivery date of 13–14 January. By 16 January, the order still hadn’t arrived and I had received no meaningful updates, so I contacted customer service to find out where my £1,000+ order was.
I explained the situation clearly and stressed that we are a wedding vendor, and these items were required urgently for a wedding on 17 January. I spoke to a customer service agent named Alfred, whose attitude was shockingly rude and dismissive. Instead of taking responsibility, he told me to contact Parcelforce myself, despite the fact that Bax Music were the sender.
I contacted Parcelforce multiple times, only to be told repeatedly that they were still waiting for the parcel from Bax Music. Bax Music claimed the item had been “dispatched”, but in reality it clearly had not been handed over to the courier at all.
Given the urgency and lack of action, I requested a refund on 15 January and reordered the same items from a more competent company. That company dispatched immediately, and I received the items on 16 January, proving that the delay was entirely down to Bax Music’s failures. My refund request was ignored.
When I called again and unfortunately got Alfred once more, I was told bluntly that he had no interest in issuing a refund until Bax Music “knew where the item was”, implying they would only consider it once the item was returned to them, something that could take 15 days or more. This is completely unacceptable when the item was never delivered in the first place.
Having thousands of pounds tied up, no product, no accountability, and being spoken to with open rudeness is not just poor service, it actively damages small businesses like ours that rely on timely, reliable suppliers.
If you are a DJ, wedding supplier, or anyone working in the entertainment industry, I strongly advise you to stay well away from Bax Music. Misleading dispatch claims, refusal to issue timely refunds, and dismissive customer service make them completely unreliable. This has been one of the worst customer experiences we’ve had, and I would not trust them with critical or time-sensitive orders.

Fast efficient & great prices
Every time I've dealt with Bax I always get the best prices and really quick delivery. I've never had to follow up on any purchase so I can't comment on their after sales support.
Unable to supply accurate delivery date
Unbelievable returns process
I followed the returns process to register the return of the product.
First of all, I didn't get the label or invoice as the process suggested I would after one day and had to email and get them sent (took two days).
Then after I posted the returns to UPS as instructed: printing out label, printing out three copies of invoices (two copies in parcel and one attached to parcel), I got text message saying the invoice was inaccurate as the line item and total amount did not match. I uploaded the invoice provided again, then two days later was told it's still wrong.
I opened the invoice, the unit was marked as zero therefore total amount was zero. I did not want to manipulate the invoice myself, so I contacted customer service asking them to provide rectified invoice. They registered return on their "returns portal" again, and the invoices sent to me were again wrong!
In the absence of correct invoice, now this returns is being sent back to me!
Then their customer service had the guts to send me an email without any acknowledgement of their faulty system or process or incompetent staff, asking me to generate returns on their portal until invoice is showing a correct value! What??? Keep on trying our crappy system until it gets right? How dare you to say that?
Never have I encountered this level of incompetency.
Can you seriously look into the bug in your system or lack of skills within your teams?
I'm going to gather all these exchanges and challenge this transaction if it doesn't get sorted within the next three days.
First and last time I'll use
Seems they are listing items for sale then don't deliver. Paid nearly £1300 for an item on 1st December, which they have now told me they can't get from their supplier, and I now have to wait another 7 working days for a refund (which can be refunded instantly in the year 2026)! Looking at other reviews, it makes me wonder how much on their books is just fake sales and then hold the money as long as possible!

I have placed an order for an item that was showing as in stock. After nearly a month there was still no sign and nobody answering my emails to customer service. Eventually sorted by cancelling the order, but stressful when they have your money, no sign of the goods, and no communication.
