If you value your time, money, and sanity, DO NOT go anywhere near Buffer. I canceled my subscription on October 12—simple, right? Wrong. October 18 rolls around, and they sneak in and attempt to charge my card. Thankfully, I used a dummy account because, frankly, I had a gut feeling after seeing some bad reviews. Then I get an automated email after the charge attempt, it reads...
"Hello there,
We retried processing your payment for your Buffer subscription one last time, and it didn't quite go through. It looks like your card has insufficient funds.
We've gone ahead and moved your account over to the Free plan, where you can still publish your content with Buffer."
I should've been in the clear.
Then, out of nowhere, October 24 hits, and here we go again—they try to charge me AGAIN, this time in total silence. No email, no notification, nothing. What makes this even more ridiculous? As you can see in the attached photo, the "upcoming bill" section always shows zero. No card registered, no active subscription, yet they keep attempting to pull this nonsense.
Buffer isn’t just shady—they're downright unethical. They prey on users by stealth charging and hoping people don’t notice. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere before you get sucked into this scammy nightmare.
Buffer has been one of the best social media tools I've ever used. I use for X. I find that Buffer has better scheduling tools than the Native X tools provide. They also release features that are actually helpful. I can schedule threads for very long articles and use tags to help test my content. I also enjoy the analytics feature. The upgrade price is affordable, and support is fast and friendly. Buffer is my go-to for X scheduling.
The worst experience with these guys, laptop was faulty from day 1 and I had continuous problems. They were impossible to get in touch with and never got back to you. Right now the laptop is not working and it’s only a few months old. They still haven’t replied to multiple attempts at contacting them. Avoid at all costs

I used to enjoy using Buffer.com to schedule my social media posts. It allowed one free connection to a platform which was nice. However, they recently started charging for all their services, making it impossible to schedule more content without paying. This change has forced me to switch to a different platform that offers better options. It's disappointing because I liked using Buffer.com, but this decision has ruined the experience.
Charged me 3x as much this month. ''Oh sorry, we did email you and it bounced''. Used them for years but now will use another such as Social Pilot which costs half the price. Damn shame as used Buffer for years and being forced to pay for a new tariff is poor, if I wanted it then I would have done that in the first place.
Absolutely useless and very frustrating. Every time I make changes -- and yes, I saved them multiple times -- it simply forgets them when I move a project to it's next stage (To Do, In Progress, Done). Complete waste of time.

Save money and look elsewhere, it's so buggy, slow, ALWAYS errors with Buffer, you always need to refresh connections, there's just so many problems with this platform I don't know where to begin.... I am saving more time just posting directly on social media

App doesn’t sync with the website unless you keep closing it down or refreshing the page. The also appear to have a lot of problems posting short 20-30 second videos to Instagram. Receive email saying post has gone, but it hasn’t. So I do not recommend Buffer as a reliable source to social media scheduling management.

I'm a social media manager and manage a range of profiles for clients across the main social media platforms.
Buffer is phenomenal at scheduling and publishing content, reliably and consistently. Their customer support is the best from any company/service I've used, with quick replies and plenty of back and forth to investigate issues.
Sometimes I run into issues that cause hiccups where a post will not publish for some reason, but that can be expected with the ever-changing social media platforms out there.
Currently, as of writing, January 2024, I would say the service is very reliable and working as expected. I pay monthly, and have done for about 3 years.

TERRIBLE - I can't even post because the UI is so bad. Waste of money. Also, their Get in touch button on the website does nothing so you can't contact customer support.
I have just seen the reviews of Buffer here in Trustpilot unfortunately. I paid the subscription and the product is broken. Sorry to be hard. I did not use the product for 1 year and when I asked to get a refund they said no. Poor product, poor customer support. Run away 🏃♂️ and use a better product. Don’t use Buffer in my opinion except you are okay to spend a lot of time to parameter the product and have a bad experience. Good luck and good bye Buffer ✌️
Very Missleading.
I thought I could use one account for each 3 platforms and then I saw I could add multiple profiles for each 3 platforms. I know it sounds weird. But the language of the service isn't clear and does not do what it is promised.
