Bad Communication and customer service
Circle Waste LTD - some of the worst customer service I have experienced. After placing an order to be delivered locally to the company on the 14th January and being told a ETA for the skip between 7am and 8am. To then not being contacted for hours at a time as the skip was delayed 3 times to still not receiving a invoice 13days, 3 emails, 4 phone calls later! I do not recommend using this company.

Do not use this company!!! Do not use this company!!! I had 5 skips from this company for period of 4 months. Every time rather will be delay on the skip or a problem in the call centre. They are very rude on the phone so please don’t make my mistake to use them!
Watch out for extra hidden charges
The service to be fair was fine and they delivered the skips on time and when we wanted them at a competitive price BUT, I have just been informed that I owe them £99 plus VAT for an admin charge for compliance. This charge has come out of the blue and was never mentioned in our initial conversations, now I know why. It is in their T&C’s at point 12.3 which I have just read. I am disputing why this wasn’t mentioned before and I will heading to Trading Standards.

I appreciated the courtesy of a phone call notifying me about the expected arrival time. Additionally, the driver was thoughtful and accommodating in placing the skip.

I never get a response from my emails, am often promised a date or service over the phone that never materialises and messages don't seem to ever get through to the depot carrying out the work. Very frustrating...

NOT trustworthy at all. Very mis-leading list of prohibited items provided in order email (explicitly lists fridges and freezers, does NOT mention electrical items at all). They then disposed of electrical items without checking with me that I wanted to pay additional fee to have them disposed of. They would never have been in the skip I hired if they were on the list of prohibited items from the email.
NOTE - they also operate as AMA Waste - so beware.

Very efficient ordering service but taking your money is all they do good. Skip failed to arrive as promised, customer service is very poor with promised calls back do not happen, no replies to emails. Won't confirm when skip is being collected, staff don't care.

This has been one of the worst skip-hire experiences I’ve had. I was charged a £170 “wasted journey” fee on top of the skip-hire cost. Our builders were on site and we requested collection, but the skip wasn’t picked up at that time. After the builders left and the property was unoccupied, I was told the skip was “overloaded.” When we left the site, it wasn’t overloaded, and from the photos it looks like other people may have added waste while the skip was unattended.
Despite this, the company still insisted on charging the wasted-journey fee. I’ve never encountered this with other skip-hire companies—normally, if a skip is overloaded, they simply refuse collection until it’s corrected, rather than adding extra charges.
The situation was frustrating, especially because we had no control over the skip after leaving the site, yet fees kept being added. Although their prices appear cheaper at first, in my experience the additional fees made it far more expensive than expected.
Based on this experience, I wouldn’t use this company again and would recommend choosing a reliable local skip-hire provider, even if the upfront cost is slightly higher.
Passing off as a local business and a rip off
Passed themselves off as Wrights Skips of York - they are not and this is misleading. Charged me significantly more than I could have booked direct online despite their website saying call for the best price!!
They have not had the courtesy to respond to my emails asking for an explanation.
Would not recommend or use again.
Make sure you use Wrights of Crockey Hill for your skip hire and not this sham.

Circle Waste are Gaslighting Scammers
I am messaging as I wanted to bring to light this (in my opinion) sham company, Circle waste. My sister ordered a skip from them, which arrived on 18th October as they are renovating their first home (her and her husband). There was a 2 week clause for the hire, which we were not made fully aware of (this becomes relevant later on). Please note, this skip was hired via a middle man, Dunmow, who stated they have nothing to do with this and they just act as intermediaries for skip hire companies.
The skip was collected from our property without warning on 30th October (2 days before their 2 week hire policy).
We called them on the 3rd (my sister had her wedding over the weekend, so could not pursue this earlier). The first person we spoke to (called at ~09:40) admitted that the skip had been collected early and she would speak to her manager about a resolution. She stated we would get called back the day after about this.
We were obviously not called. We called them back the day after, by which time, they had insisted the skip was collected 1st November. I stated this was severe gaslighting on their part, especially as they had admitted the day before the skip had been collected early. The woman I spoke to (Kyra) escalated to her manager, who she said would call us back (but did not).
This was the same the day after too.
I got an email with pictures (not timestamped pictures, mind you) that the skip was collected on the 1st, but this is gaslighting as I saw myself the skip was gone on the 30th.
We finally managed to speak to the manager (Mariya) on 7th (we called them again and insisted). She basically called us liars and her drivers never lie about these things. We are trying to get footage that proves it was taken (we didn't take pictures unfortunately as we did not think a company would be so unreasonable and not admit they were wrong). She said we may be able to offer assistance partial refund if evidence is produced it was collected early (although we were offered a £40 partial refund by Kyra without evidence needing to be provided) for in the inconvenience caused. This offer was rescinded by Mariya.
I just wanted to warn people about this company as they are clearly scammers. The skip was collected before the 2 week period (which was not even highlighted to us) and I want my money back (we have now arranged for other means of our waste being collected.
