I have fallen foul twice to subscription problems to Dancebit. They are gung-ho claiming different amounts from my bank account. Luckily some have been stopped by my bank security. Totally unacceptab... See more

Scammers
This company scam you. Signed up for 3 mths via Instagram and before you know it without any authorisation they take payment for the full 12mths. Battled to get a 70% refund from them for the extra payment. So £62.50 back from a total payment of £117.71paid. I agreed a payment of £28.43. And they automatically took a furher £89.28 without authorisation Their subscriptions are non refundable apparently even though they steal your money! PayPal couldn't help get a total 100% refund so took the best option but very unhappy.
Do not sign up or use Dancebit. Utter rip off merchants and scammers. You have been warned!!!
SCAM
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM company. They have taken £47 from my credit card and I am unable to cancel through the app. They will not refund me even though I injured my back doing their workout and cannot continue with the sessions. I only done two sessions. I already had £18 deducted in Feb. I wish I had read the many bad reviews on Facebook and Trustpilot before I signed up. Now I need to contact my credit card company to prevent them taking any more money in the future. It looks like I may have to cancel my card.
This is a scam
This is a scam! You sign up for one week and they put you on automatic renew and then charge you for the year! Paypal can't dispute as it was on an automatic renew. You can't speak with anyone at Dancebit and you get automatic response from their support. They will just tell you in their terms and conditions its non refundable. There is NO warning from them about the renewal because somehow they scam you to agreeing to it when you pay for the one week trial. I am normally very thorough and it past me.
Do Not Subscribe!
Do Not Subscribe!! I wish I had read these reviews before I clicked to subscribe. No 'free' trial. They charge you right away and while it was easy to "cancel" future subscriptions, it doesn't look like I can get a refund (only used it for less than a week) for the current subscription. Read the "terms" carefully before you accept. Received from them: "Kindly note that according to our terms of use the subscriptions are non-refundable." Many technical issues, app and website are confusing. The videos for a dance workout are not what I was expecting. It's a cardio workout to a beat, but no music like you would dance to. Buyer Beware!
Awful
Awful. Untrustworthy and poor content.
They continue to bill you after you’ve cancelled. They sign you up to premium auto renewal at much higher fees than you first agreed to without your consent.
I wish I’d seen these reviews before I signed up.
These people are total crooks
These people are total crooks. I did not sign up for anything and they are billing me and making it impossible to get out of my subscription. I'll have to go to my bank and if I have to, I will cancel the bank account. Whatever you do, don't sign up for this. Don't even look at it Because they have some way of getting information off you, Using your email as a way of sending some fake test results and then they start taking money. The phone number connected. It does not reach anybody. There is no way to contact anybody and no way to get out of it since I didn't set it up in the first place so I can't get to an account even to cancel the subscription. This is totally crooked.
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!
DO NOT SUBSCRIBE!! I signed up for a week’s trial (around £6) but was completely stung for another £95 a week later, as I had apparently missed the small print, which was an automatic billing for a monthly subscription. I complained and the response I got was patronising, stating that their billing was very clear and that they have many satisfied customers.
It is obviously NOT clear at all as so many others on here have had the same issue!
They stated that the £95 is non-refundable and re-sent me a copy of the receipt, which does not mention ANYWHERE that it is non-refundable. Unbelievable!
This was their response to my request…
This was their response to my request to have my money back.

Hello Deborah,
Thanks for contacting us, we are here to help. LIE
From what we see in our records, you purchased a 3-month subscription LIE with an intro offer costing USD 31.78, which auto-renewed into the premium 3-month plan at the full price of USD 63.57. LIE There is a detailed description of this on the purchase screen LIE and in the receipt we send immediately after the purchase. LIE Sorry if any part of it wasn't clear enough, this was never our intention! LIE
Just in case, you can check all the information about your plan or cancel the auto-renewal.
Your Dancebit subscription is now canceled. It will remain active till the end of the current billing period, and you won’t be charged anymore.
Please note that according to our Terms of Use, subscriptions are non-refundable . However, to help you achieve great results in your weight loss journey, we'd like to offer an alternative — free subscription extension for six months. This way, you can continue using Dancebit until 18 Nov at no extra cost. Let us know what you think.
Looking forward to your reply.
Best regards,
Matt
MAJOR SCAM-There needs to be a class…
MAJOR SCAM-There needs to be a class action lawsuit
Filed against this company. All money should be returned to anyone they stole from. They lie and they steal. Charges should be filed.
Just been scammed out of £142!
Just been scammed out of £142!! Signed up to a free trial in November 2024, never once caught sight of me being billed such a ridiculous amount thereafter. When I’ve gone into the app tonight I saw a subscription button, hit that and apparently I was in a subscription and that they would be charging me another £142 in May… for what, there is no way any fitness app is worth this kind of money. I have emailed them but I have also raised this with PayPal.. weird thing is I used Apple Pay for the free subscription, yet they have taken £142 via PayPal and from my bank account! If PayPal don’t resolve this, I’m contacting my bank directly. Avoid at all costs, wish I had come here before signing up to any free trial. Annoyed at myself!
UNRESPONSIVE AND ABUSIVE
I signed up through an Apple subscription. I canceled it. The trial period ended, but then I was charged $150+ but NOT through Apple!! Dancebit charged me directly even though I never signed up through their website. Apparently you ALSO have to cancel on the dancebit website, but nobody told me that. Normally you cancel the subscription through Apple and you’re done. I asked for a refund from Dancebit and they NEVER responded. Absolutely abusive and manipulative.
Scammers that will take your money without notice and make it very hard to cancel
This company gave me a months trial at reduced rate then without warning charged me £94 for the next month. Cancellation details are very hard to find and customer service is nonexistent. DO NOT TRUST DO NOT USE
Bad Customer Service…..
I signed up for a one week dance app and paid the £6 for it on 25 January. I have not been able to use the software as I have been very ill. imagine my surprise when I was debited for £94.75 on 1 Feb. I immediately sent them an email saying I did not sign up for this and please refund my money immediately. Then I saw a cancellation for subscription tab so I clicked that as well and cancelled my ‘subscription’. I get an email from them on 2 February saying they can’t refund my payment but will not debit me again!! However I can have 6 months free subscription instead. I did not want the first month never mind 6 months. Unbelievable attitude, apparently they can’t refund subscriptions. If they were totally above board and valued their reputation they would have asked first if I wanted to make further use of their app. Secondly, they would have refunded my money. Not a great experience - stay far away.
Update: 3 February. I have received my full refund, think Monzo sorted it out, although the parent company of Dance-bit said they would refund.
Unscrupulous company
Unscrupulous company. Paid an initial £24 to try this app but they were very persistent in trying to get to extend this
I told them.numerous times I did not want to extend this so thought this was the end of it until I noticed today they have taken! £56 from my account without my agreement
I told them I have not used the app as I have became ill but they still say they will not refund me
I am.now overdrawn and cannot afford this. I am so stressed and keep crying as don't know whst to do
I've contacted my bank so pray they help me
Please do not get drawn into this
BEWARE
The initial subscription is reasonable but then they take an excessive payment less than a month later. Emails initially ignored and a refund refused but they did then agree to refund. Just be aware of the small print.
Terrible billing practices
Terrible billing practices - sign up for 7 days free billed 127 end of the week,
I had an active account they started billing twice.
This app is confusing accounts hard to delete.
Don’t use
I signed for a 7 days trial giving…
I signed for a 7 days trial giving authorisation of being charged of a payment of 6.62£, after 6 days a payment was made of 108 pounds they claimed to be for a month ( a month costs around 21£)how can this be possible when I didn’t receive a email saying the trial is ending or any information from them, inducing people to buy something that they didn’t signed for is a crime. Now I believe I have lost the money, they send us the rules of what we signed for after we requested the refund , in Uk subscriptions can be cancelled in a period of less of a month the consumer is not happy and receive the refund, please stay away from this guys , did anyone hit their money back?
Disgusting, I would score minus if I could
I would score minus if I could. Signed up, paid a month and when I try to do challenge demands more money. Can't manage subscription to cancel either. Makes me sick, these companies are allowed to trade.
Scam
Scam, scam, scam. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY OR GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD INFO. I paid, then discovered the app wouldn't work on my laptop or phone. Tried to cancel within 15 minutes, was told it was too late. I'm planning to sue them in small claims court if they don't return my money. If you want to join me, please let me know. I'll check back on these reviews. They provide a phone number, 877 779-0710 but no one is available.
