Delivery dates when ordered will not be met, my order is due to be two weeks late due to pillows not being in stock. This was not communicated at purchase. Asked for the rest of my order to be shipped, and they have refused, until the pillows are in stock, delaying my order by two weeks. However on the website the pillows say they will be delivered in 3-7days, and it’s going to take me 14 days to get my order. Customer service, not helpful, saying they cannot send the rest of my order that is already in stock that I ordered on the 25th Jan. This entire order should have been delivered by 16th Feb. Now delayed until 28th Feb due to PILLOWS. I have spent over £1000 and this is the level of service you get. Avoid at all costs.
I will be contacting trading standards and the advertising standards authority for purposely misleading consumers on delivery to get orders, which is illegal. This is not the first review on here stating similar experiences.
Stock management is simple, you have x amount in stock, you then take off the quantity per order, so how can you possible be out of stock?
Avoid at all costs – Nightmare customer service
I purchased an Emma mattress for £688, which fell apart after just two years. While they replaced it, the replacement was a cheaper model (worth ~£350) and totally uncomfortable.
I requested a refund, which they eventually agreed to at the original price, but the "service" that followed was appalling:
• The Delay: Collection was booked for 30th Nov but didn't happen until 5th Jan.
• The Inconvenience: I live in a small house and had to store a dead mattress through the entire Christmas period with guests visiting.
• The Refund: I was promised a refund within 3–5 days of collection. I didn’t receive my money until 10th February—over two months after the initial date.
Countless emails and calls later, I finally have my money back, but I would never recommend this company. ---
Very happy with our mattress so far. The offering process was easy along with the delivery via a third party. Was able to pick a date that suited and removal of old mattress was extremely helpful. The new mattress is very comfortable and don’t take long to fluff up.
Very easy to set up and good quality overall. Have add it for 6 months and I have no complaints
Sadly this is the 2nd time in 3 years Emma Mattress has not fulfilled my order. I have one of their mattresses and love it, so back in 2023 I wanted to buy another. They had stock issues at the time and I cancelled the order. Recently (Jan 2026) I decided to try them again, but again they could not fulfil the order. And most annoyingly no one tells you about the stock issues or delays. My estimated delivery date was shown as early Feb, but by mid-Feb I heard nothing, so called and they informed me there was a stock issue and the lead time was a further 6-8 weeks. I again cancelled the order. They need to put the correct information on the website or inform their customers of the delays. Fair to say I won't try again! I gave 2 starts rather than 1 as the product is not the problem. It's the information on the website, customer and poor management of their stock that is the issue.

Emma sleep have not refunded me for a faulty mattress despite months of chasing after completing all the relevant steps. Avoid at all costs. A total scam.

Ordered the King Size Premium Pro mattress from Emma. Received very quickly and in a box. We allowed it to expand for 2 days as we still had our old mattress. Softer than our previous ErgoFlex mattress, so not sure if we like it? I do feel my husband when he turns as we find it quite bouncy. We have 200 nights to decide??? Not sure if we will keep it as don’t know if I like the bounce. It is comfortable but our last mattress was foam all the way through.

I wrote the following review on here a few days ago:
I ordered two Emma mattresses on 26 January 2026 while moving into a new home with no mattresses at all. At checkout, the delivery estimate was 1–3 weeks. After paying, my order confirmation changed to 23 Feb–9 Mar (effectively up to ~6 weeks!!!!). That is not a minor adjustment — it completely changes the decision to buy.
I didn’t choose Emma casually. I spent weeks researching and picked Emma because they were rated as the best mattresses according to Which?, especially for longevity. I expected a company that takes customers seriously. What I got instead has been genuinely stressful.
This situation has caused significant anxiety during an already difficult move. Not having a bed lined up when you’re moving home isn’t a small inconvenience — it affects sleep, work, and basic day-to-day functioning. I’ve been left repeatedly checking emails, chasing updates, and feeling sick with worry that we’ll be left without anywhere to sleep.
Customer service has been the worst part:
-I was told my case was “escalated” and that someone would come back with a “verdict”. No meaningful outcome ever arrived.
-I received multiple polite-but-empty emails about “monitoring” and “following up internally” — no clear answers, no ownership, no action.
-I repeatedly asked for a simple, practical fix: split the order and dispatch one mattress earlier (because one appeared to have a shorter lead time). This request was ignored or not addressed.
-And when pushed, the only real “solution” offered was: wait until 9 March or cancel and get a refund.
So after advertising 1–3 weeks, their best response is essentially “tough luck, cancel then.” Shame on you. If your delivery estimates can’t be trusted and your support team won’t even attempt a basic workaround, you shouldn’t be making those promises at checkout.
If you need a mattress by a specific date, do not rely on Emma’s delivery estimates, and don’t expect customer service to do anything beyond copy-paste apologies.
1/5 — disappointed and exhausted by the lack of accountability.
And this was their response:
Dear David,
Thank you for sharing your experience with us.
I truly appreciate your honesty and was sorry for the worry and stress our delivery delays have caused you during such an important time.
We understand how important it is to have a comfortable place to sleep, especially when moving into a new home, and we realize how disappointing it was to see your timeline change after choosing us so carefully. We also hear your concerns regarding the support you received; it is important to us that you feel truly supported and heard.
We are committed to learning from this experience to ensure we provide a much better and more reliable service for you in the future.
Thank you for your continued patience as we work to make this right.
Warm regards,
Bryle From Emma
So my response to that is: okay so what are you actually going to do? I still don’t have the mattresses. Can you meaning me please? Instead of just saying you are going to learn from this? This is what you’ve written on many reviews on here. You have caused us much distress and you are still doing it!

Possibly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. They don't reply to anything. I received an email saying it was 'not to their standards' to not respond for 8 BUSINESS HOURS, and here I am, days later still waiting for some acknowledgement/response.
You've replied to this review before you've even replied to my query, how does that make sense?

Avoid this company.
I placed an order with a deliverly lead time of 3-7 days. I asked mid way for an update and was told by customer service it's never 3 days always 7 days.
7 days have come and it's still not here, I have chased with customer service again and they can't tell me when it's going arrive.
I wouldn't have ordered from them if it was misleading delivery times. I still don't know when or if I'm getting my order. Customer service can't seem to tell me.

Not even got my product yet. I’m still waiting, now past the date due to be delivered with no order update. Money taken when order placed however. I’m currently chasing the whereabouts of my weighted blanket. I’m also quite sure that when the chat bot puts you through to a colleague, this is just another chat bot. Asking ridiculous questions like can I email to give permission for them to update me on the status of my own order. Stay clear of this company unless you love being frustrated for weeks on end!
