Written by the company

Established in 2000, RAaW creates a magical place, using film, theatre and community engagement to spark change and celebrate humanity. Through collaborating with real people with real stories, our work can take audiences and beneficiaries on a transformative and exciting journey. We work with adults, children and communities across the UK, particularly those who don’t have a voice. At the heart of all our work lies a humanitarian spirit and ethos, We push boundaries and discover new ways of producing work that challenges and incites change in audiences and communities. The actor training branch of RAaW London operates at The Union Theatre every Saturday. RAaW training is bespoke, radical and organic. We work on sharpening the skills that bring out individuality and celebrate differences. We are small enough to, over time, understand and respect each actor for who they are at their core and work on building their seed with The Stevens techniques, in order to grow. For us, the person, is the important thing. RAaW Management represents actors while they train with RAaW and up to a year after they graduate. We focus on building up their CVs and guiding them with moving onto top agents.

A place you can call home

RAaW, is an integral part of training if you’re an actor. Their values in treating everyone with love and respect, not only encourages you to open up your vessel to improve your acting, but as a person too. I wouldn’t be the person I am today without RAaW. It’s definitely my home away from home. It’s a community and family filled with love, trust and respect. Robbi and Abbie are amazing with pushing you as far as you can go, while also nurturing and loving you at the same time. The people who train there, demonstrate unconditional love for each other. I am forever thankful for my 5 years there.

They also give you amazing advice, about the industry that you don’t get taught anywhere else! Examples include; talking to agents, keeping the diaphragm healthy, emotional regulation and loads more! Thanks to RAaW’s training, they have given me the courage to look for my own work, and not just relying on my agent. In the past year since I graduated, I’ve booked multiple short films and a leading role in a theatre show. I wouldn’t have had the confidence, without RAaW’s training.

If you want to experience the epitome of high quality training and healing, RAaW is the best for you!

My daughter loved Raaw…!

My daughter attended Raaw for a number of years.
She loved attending each week and doing the shows.
She gained many valuable skills at Raaw but it was her amazing confidence and speaking skills that enabled her to thrive both in and out of school.

RAaW has not only shaped me as an actor…

RAaW has not only shaped me as an actor but as a person. As the classes are no larger than 15, you get a personal/intimate experience that you might not be able to get at other schools. I’ve learnt the importance of being a team player and thinking for the company rather than getting sucked into the idea of what an ‘actor’ is. You feel apart of a community that’s invested in your growth and talent. I haven’t seen or been to anything like it.

What I experienced at RAaw

What I experienced at RAaw, I couldn't get anywhere else. The training alone is fantastic but everything that also came with it was the icing on the cake. They've helped me build my confidence as an actor and a person. Being represented by them for all these years has given opportunities I never believed I would experience. I trust that the agencies they've helped me to look into can help me as much as they have. Finally the last thing I will say, is that if you put your heart and soul into the work you do here and if you trust them and their process. Everything you experience will be worth it.
