The Ukulele Project is a not for profit organisation whose aim is to use the ukulele to help address loneliness and promote wellbeing. We currently have projects in London, Scotland, Wales, the South East and the East Midlands. We have witnessed first hand how the ukulele can bring people together; how it can help break down social barriers and build strong friendships. We are passionate about supporting schools, teachers and community groups to run sustainable ukulele clubs, classes and events as a way of combating loneliness. We provide teaching resources, workshops and events; run classes for community groups and schools and in our online shop you’ll find class ukulele sets, stickers, badges, our First Ukulele Pieces books, our Practice Journal and loads more! ALL our profits go towards donating ukuleles to schools, community groups and libraries.

Fabulous Wrapping Paper!
Easy to navigate site. Great items & resources. Super quality. I'll be back! Thank you :D
Love the songbook.
Excellent service
Great for learners
This book is aimed at students who wish to explore the possibilities of the ukulele other than simply strumming chords (nothing wrong with that)
The music in divided into three parts .
The top part is for the main melody - single notes to be played or rather plucked with the thumb or fingers . The music can be read from either written music or tablature underneath giving the appropriate position and which string to play
The middle part is usually also plucking a melody which harmonises with the top part or it can be arpeggios based on the accompanying chords.
The bottom part is for strumming or plucking the appropriate chords.
I am sure many children would love to play the songs as an ensemble and will encourage them to improve their musicianship.

We're fortunate to have access to the Ukulele project and am grateful for the many happy moments we've shared with our kids playing the ukulele. We joined a free session at a public library and have since joined in on weekly sessions and live events. Our kids confidence has grown immeasurably and we're forever grateful.
