Apple refusing to honour trade in agreement
My wife bought a new iphone 17pro from the Apple Southampton store, but they had no staff available to help transfer data from her old iphone 15pro so told her to go away do herself and come back to complete trade in the old phone. They checked the old phone at point of sale of the new phone and confirmed this was in excellent condition. When she returned 7 days later the staff refused to trade in her (excellent condition) phone for an inexplicable reason - possibly an iCloud fault of Apple (not ours). That has left my wife £395 out of pocket and frustrated that she has had to travel a long way each time to our nearest store. I will report Apple to trading standards as they have in effect miss sold us a new phone with a (contractually) unfulfilled promise of a trade in - this comes either under false advertising or under consumer protection law, it is not acceptable for a large American company to abuse customers this way.
Emails
I must say how wonderfully helpful Henry was this evening. He sorted all of my devices with patience and consideration. God bless Henry, my late husband’s name. Loved his Irish accent as well!

Apple store bromley- The team is…
Apple store bromley- The team is friendly and polite, and their attitude in the store is welcoming. However, despite this, the actual service has been extremely disappointing.
I visited the store at the end of November for a battery replacement and Face ID repair. After the repair, my phone developed new issues. The speaker started malfunctioning, Face ID works inconsistently, I cannot make phone calls properly, and when listening to music the sound is distorted and crackling.
I returned on 2 February, and the screen was completely replaced in an attempt to fix the issue. Unfortunately, the problem remains exactly the same. Instead of solving the original problem, each visit seems to create more issues.
This situation has caused a significant waste of both time and money. I kept returning in good faith, expecting the problem to be resolved, but my phone is now in worse condition than before I brought it in.
Overall, while the staff are friendly, the service itself has resulted in more problems rather than solutions.
Utterly disgusting service
Utterly disgusting service, I bought a 600 pound mini mac from apple on line, opened it today to find it has defective software, spent nearly 3 hours on the phone with the technical team who couldn’t fix it or turn off find my, they won’t exchange the device until find my is switched off, rotten company with the ethics of an ally cat.
Overpriced garbage product and service
Apple Watch series 10. Bought new from Apple November 2024, so less than 14 months old. Fully up to date software and immaculate, not even a scratch. Left charging on Apple mag charger overnight, and now stuck in a boot loop. Apple authorised repairer checked it, and said the only option was to send to Apple for repair at a cost of £295.
That’s it for me. Time to junk my Apple Watch, iPhone and iPad. Overpriced garbage.
My Macbook Pro suffered a serious issue…
My Macbook Pro suffered a serious issue and wouldn't start up. The Apple Store in Newcastle inspected my Macbook but only carried out the same procedure as I had done myself at home.
They told me it needed a new logic board and it would cost £755 to fix it. I then took it to a local repair shop who fixed it without the need for a new logic board, and for half the cost.
Do not trust what Apple tell you.

I went in with the thought to buy a phone alone I did the online test and they denied me the right to buy a phone I will not be returning!
I went to pick up a parcel from this…Bad Experience
I went to pick up a parcel from this store. When I arrived I was kept waiting a long time while the guy in there remained behind a shelf, grunting in an odd way and when I called out hello, he continued to make this strange grunting noise. He came across as rude, ignorant & very creepy. When he eventually served me & gave me my parcel, he took a photo of it & as he did so, he lifted his device & looked at me. I left the store, but immediately returned as it had occurred to me he may have taken my photo. I asked him if he had & he pretended not to understand & became nasty. I asked him if he had taken my photo, yes or no several times & he refused to answer. Then suddenly he was able to speak English eloquently & angrily told me not to come back to the shop. I guarantee I will never step foot in that shop again. The guy was very dodgy & shouldn't be in a public facing job. I will never know whether he took my photo or not which is scary as he took a photo of my address on the parcel.
My advice to other women is to be vigilant in these kind of situations.
Great customer service
Great customer service, quick, reliable, good price. No job to big or to small. Will be taking all my computers there from now on. golden Nugget.
Ignored as a Customer — Disappointing In-Store Experience
I was very disappointed by my experience with a member of staff at this store. While making an enquiry to help inform a potential purchase, I was ignored by a staff member (wearing a headscarf and glasses). I found this behaviour disrespectful and felt discriminated against, which led me to leave the store without making a purchase.
I hope management are made aware of this incident so it can be addressed. This occurred on 17 January between 15:45 and 15:50.

I had great experience with apple customer services
The customer service advisor's name was Caser he was so great with assisting the issue and also explained step by step on how I can resolve the issue.
Do not trust this store. Customers are always wrong here.
Do not trust this store! Customers have no rights with them.
They charged us over £400 for a repair which did not solve the issue and despite being told the next step would be a handset exchange this has now not been honoured.
They alleged we must have damaged the phone within the first 24 hours of having the repaired handset back stating we must have used a corroded lead on it which is impossible as I explained to them because we bought a brand-new Apple charging lead.
We were treated extremely unfairly and I would not recommend this store at all.
I will of course be taking it up with head office and have American Express disputing the charge but would give them a wide berth.
Fabulous service
What excellent service from Dean today at the metrocentre shop,so helpful, supportive and friendly. Excellent customer service from entering the shop.
I have used Apple products for many…
I have used Apple products for many years and had a good experience when last at the Braehead store several years ago, however the service level today was so poor (I was in the store for several hours despite only wanting a simple upgrade and several things went wrong with the service), that it has put me off Apple products entirely. I cannot blame individual staff as at the end of the day they are a reflection of the management who are paying and training them.
Frustrating, appalling service from apple
On Friday 2nd January 2026, I discover that all my photos on my apple iCloud has disappeared, I don’t know where they have gone. 10 years worth of family photos memories, places we have been to, things we have done with my family from when our son was younger - family holidays over the years are all gone, disappeared. I rang apple customer service to find out where all my photos has gone, spoke to supervisor Mike today Monday 5th Jan 2026 whom was cold as ice, no sympathy, he spoke harshly with no solution to my problem. Not fit to be a supervisor, he can’t solve a meaningful problem or offer compensation/ refund - nothing will make up for loosing those priceless photos but at least offer something decent and fair. Since Saturday I have been on the phone to apple, kept going in circles with no help no solution with my problem. Mike just offered to do the same dead end solution that goes no where - so frustrating especially when I have been paying £8.99 monthly subscription for few years and all they can offer me is £8.98 x2 so 2 months payments refund for a service I have been paying for years that didn’t deliver -apple iCloud a firm that I trusted, massive shame and disgust by the service and customer helpline. Supervisor Mike you should take a course on how to deal with people / customers and how to solve problems fairly. Your job is to solve problems , think outside the box, sympathise with sad frustrating situations. I’m so disappointed with apple and don’t trust the firm anymore. I used to be a massive fan of apple! What a let down. I’m so so frustrated and not happy with Apple! Date 05/01/2026.

I was on FaceTime to my boyfriend and I shown him my new nails and it banned me from only FaceTiming him because of nudity bare in mind I was fully clothed and so was he - Apple do better and unban me because I didn’t do anything wrong
Had a great experience at Apple…
Had a great experience at Apple Westfield White City. I was a bit confused when I arrived, but Steven (the guy with dreadlocks) helped me straight away. He was extremely friendly, patient, and professional. The issue was dust in my phone speaker, which he quickly identified. Excellent customer service—thank you!
Shocking service AVOID
Shocking service, particularly from the so-called managers Ayesha and Darren from the Stratford shop, who were rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. I have been an Apple customer for over 20 years, and this is by far the worst service I have ever received.
After this experience, it’s no surprise this store has such poor ratings. I expected far better from a brand that prides itself on customer service.

I purchased a Refurbished iPhone 14 Pro 128GB – Deep Purple (SIM-Free) and it arrived already faulty and completely unusable.
The device has a serious internal storage (hard drive) failure — it does not boot properly, cannot be set up, and cannot be restored. This makes the phone entirely unusable from the moment of delivery.
This is completely unacceptable for a refurbished device, which must be fully inspected, tested, and repaired to a “like new” working condition before resale. Clearly, this device was either not properly tested or was knowingly supplied in a defective state.
Under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described. Supplying a non-functional device is a clear breach of statutory consumer rights.
I am now forced to waste time dealing with returns, support and inconvenience for a product that should never have been shipped.
Very poor experience. Extremely disappointed.
