Very poor customer service and no care
On 18th Dec 2025 I bought a bike for my son for Christmas, delivery date given at time of order was Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve lunch time I received a message from the courier asking me to choose my delivery slot 31st Dec onwards. I tried to get in contact with the courier and couldn't, I emailed Evans Cycles and got an apology email back. This did not resolve anything. I chose the new delivery slot, I was home but missed the attempted delivery, assuming the courier actually knocked, but there was a card through the door so I assume he knocked. I got a new delivery day, no attempt at all to deliver, picked a new delivery day, again no attempt to deliver. At this point the item was now being returned to Evans Cycles, I asked for the refund. I was told they had to receive the item back from me and process it and it would take 14 days. I told them I had never received the item, it was between them and their courier. 14 days passed, no refund of £919.99. at 20 days I emailed again, still no refund. I was told it takes 3-5 working days after the 14 days are up. I am at 21 days since the 14 days began, I am at 8 weeks since I first ordered the bike. My son still does not have his Christmas present. I have contacted Citizen Advice, they have told me that Evans Cycles have broken their contract with me and they are passing the information on to Trading Standards.
Paid £20 for delivery
Paid £20 for delivery. Bike left outside for hours and box damaged someone tried to steal it. Can not g et hold of company at all. Phones not working and no email address to contact. The worst! Avoid!
Absurd interactions with the staff
Absurd interactions with the staff. I’m certain they are there to sabotage the business.
After a week I just picked up my bike un-repaired. They don’t answer the phone and the published number on their own website doesn’t even work.
Good products but there is a complete…
Good products but there is a complete lack of size guides for clothing products which is very frustrating. Given that the postage is £5 it can be an expensive exercise getting the right size

Awful returns service
Awful returns service. Sort it out.
I don't mind paying for the return, but most high street and major retailers provide an easy drop off or pick up service with QR code or other printer free options; either making a standard postage charge as part of the return process or by deducting the cost from the refund.
And you don't even accept online orders returns to your stores.
Only tin pot retailers makes you traipse to the post office anymore.
Will not buy anything online from you again.

Terrible customer service that can’t keep their word. Completely left me hung to dry.
Very pleased
I’ve used Evans on a number of occasions for small orders and once for a larger more expensive e-bike. I’m wary of larger transactions over the internet but I’ve never had an issue using Evans website and safe payment process. Shortly after my order was placed I received an approximate delivery date the delivery company sent regular updates and provided an approximate delivery times the day before the delivery my bike was delivered on time and well packaged the bike was in perfect condition and required minimal assembly. All bikes come with a free 30 day health check in case of any issues.
I haven’t needed customer service so I can’t comment on that other than to say I’ve never had an issue.
The website is easily navigated and the product range is comprehensive and I believe very competitively priced
Absolutely awful
Absolutely awful. Ordered a helmet - they sent wrong size. Getting through to them to correct this meant going through a web chat where the person dealing with me terminated the chat early without confirming I’d got all the answers I needed. They said it would take at least 2 weeks to get the size I ordered, probably longer! I won’t be shopping with them again as I cant be sure I’ll get what I ordered and when I contact customer services, I’ll get cut off without all the information I need.
Another great on-line shopping experience with Evans Cycles
Easy to navigate website and prompt processing of order !
Terrible customer service
I ordered a children's bicycle to be collected in store, which was advertised on their website as 3-7 days for delivery. I contacted customer service after 10 days to be told it's actually 14 days and sometimes longer. So in effect their website is lying to their customers.
After several back and forths over email, I was told various lies. They told me it had been delivered to the store but not yet scanned in, that was a lie. They then told me it was with the courier, that was also a lie. After 16 days they admitted the order was lost and asked if I wanted a refund. No solutions were offered other than reordering or a refund, nothing was offered by way of an attempt to fast track a new delivery or anything to try and make up so the situation they had caused.
The communication was awful throughout as had to be initiated by me the whole time.
Avoid at all costs!

Staff on store had no experience or knowledge, no stock held of the item I wanted so had to pay for delivery instead
Bike purchase
So far the purchase of a bike for my daughter has been easy and an extremely quick service. I am a little apprehensive about the delivery, having paid £19.99 and you are using 'EVRI'. we'll see how it goes.

Ordered a bike for me to pick up in store.
Received text message saying it’s being delivered dir to me . This is not what I wanted at all.
I opted to pick up in store to save delivery issues.
Rang store and they couldn’t be more vague about delivery and no help whatsoever.
I’ve reported issues to Brompton bikes who are monitoring this as apparently it’s happening far to often for their liking.so I still don’t know if it’s coming to me or coming to them. What a shower. No wonder they went bust not so long ago looking like it’s going under yet again.
I hope Mike Ashley gets to read this
I ordered a bike through Evans Cycles…
I ordered a bike through Evans Cycles and even entered a finance agreement for it, only to be left completely in the dark about my order.
I was not contacted with any updates, so I went to the collection store myself on the agreed date, where I was told the bike hadn’t arrived and that I would be contacted the following day. The next update I received was that the bike had been lost in transit and possibly released elsewhere due to high demand.
Despite this being an item already paid for and tied to an active finance contract, there was no attempt to resolve the situation properly — no replacement offered, no alternative suggested, and no accountability taken. The order and finance were simply cancelled without this being my preferred outcome, leaving me with wasted time, travel costs, and further delays in purchasing a bike.
All communication had to be initiated by me, and the overall experience showed a serious lack of organisation and customer care. For a company selling high-value items, this level of service is unacceptable.
I would not recommend Evans Cycles based on this experience.
