Disorganised and a waste of time

Signed up to complete a level 2 cyber security course on 6th August. Went through different hoops and contacting them to send me the correct enrollments forms which I then completed promptly. All done within a week of initially signing up. I contacted them again after the weekend to see when I could start the course, to be told that the forms I have completed are old forms and that the cyber security course is no longer available due to a new academic year and lack of funding. So I have given them all of my sensitive information, including my driving licence to be told that I can no longer do the course, even though I was in contact with them trying to get the enrollment done. All forms etc were completed within a week of applying. Makes no sense and makes me worry about giving all my information for nothing.

Hi Megan,

Thank you for getting in touch, and I’m really sorry to hear about your experience. This certainly isn’t the type of situation we want any of our learners to face.

Government funding is allocated regionally, and unfortunately, by the time your case was resolved, the funding in your area had already been withdrawn. We did try to reach out directly to discuss this and to offer alternative courses that are still funded locally, but I completely understand how frustrating this must have been for you.

Please rest assured that we do not keep any of your personal data on record. The college has also confirmed that your ID has been permanently removed from their system.

If you’d like, we’d be more than happy to explore the currently funded courses available in your region and help you find the best possible option moving forward.
