Probably the worst online shopping experience I've ever had...
First order cancelled with no notice, on the morning of the delivery. I had ordered a week before. Cancelled due to ordering more than 12 of a specific bottle of wine due to bulk order policy. Fair enough if that's the policy, but make it obvious (I wouldn't have ordered if it flagged to me and it certainly wasn't obvious), and don't let people put orders through at all... or cancel them when they come in, not the morning of delivery, when catering for a party at home...
I re-ordered the following week for another party (for my sins) and they sent me the bottles (12) with a slight substitution, charged a higher price and removed the 25% discount that was meant to be on. This cost me an extra £52. I rang Sainsburys on the day (mid November) and to this date, I STILL haven't received a refund or a response about it from the company. Countless phone calls (easily 8+), 3 refund requests, 3 complaints submitted... still nothing, despite saying it takes 3 days to respond. Most of the staff I spoke with on the contact centre were great to give them credit, apart from one who lectured me repeatingly about the same point and wouldn't listen to me... I'll never shop online here again, after I've used the vouchers they give to me for the refund they owe me. Just awful
