Review of Hume Health

Rated 2 out of 5 stars

I wanted to like the Hume Pod…

I wanted to like the Hume Pod, and at first I did, but after a few weeks of use it has become clear it simply is not for me.

My main issue is the complete reliance on having your phone present and connected via Bluetooth every single time you use the scale. The Pod has no onboard memory at all. If you step on it without your phone nearby, the measurement is lost. That means opening the app, waiting for Bluetooth to connect, placing the phone next to the scale, and then stepping on. Every time.

In reality, that just does not fit into my morning routine. I want to step on the scale, get measured, and move on. Many competing smart scales handle this far better by using Wi-Fi and syncing automatically in the background. With those, I can check my results later. I do not want to be opening yet another app when I am getting ready and juggling other things.

I have also found the measurements themselves to be inconsistent. In particular, body fat readings do not feel accurate. After three weeks of use, I have seen figures that simply do not align with reality, especially around waist fat, which is clearly underreported.

That said, the product itself is not terrible. What really lets this down is customer service.

I submitted an RMA request on Thursday morning and by Saturday there was still no acknowledgement at all. Not even a confirmation email. A 24-hour response might be ambitious, but no response whatsoever is worrying, especially when customers are working within return windows. This lack of communication seems to be a recurring theme based on other Trustpilot reviews.

Delivery was also very slow. I was told around five working days, but it took close to three weeks for the Pod to arrive.

Overall, there are too many friction points. Poor communication, slow delivery, and a product design that offers no fallback if something goes wrong. If an issue arises, I have little confidence it will be handled quickly.

I am requesting a refund and return and hope this is resolved soon. If customer service does respond and the situation is handled properly, I am open to updating this review.

At the moment, though, I cannot recommend Hume based on my experience.

Two weeks on and I’m still waiting for…

Two weeks on and I’m still waiting for my delivery. This is now the second order I’ve placed, and it will certainly be the last.

I genuinely love the clothing, but the delivery experience is appalling. When I order online, I expect a maximum of a week’s wait — not more than two weeks with nothing to show for it. I’ve paid a significant amount of money, yet no item has been dispatched.

To make matters worse, the UPS tracking number I was given is completely invalid (just as it was with my previous order), which feels like it’s only there to give the impression something has been sent when it hasn’t. That is not acceptable.

Great products, absolutely terrible service.

PS. I still don’t have my products yet….

Absolutely Appalling Service – Avoid UPS at All Costs

UPS is, without question, the worst delivery company we’ve ever had the misfortune of dealing with. Whether it’s down to sheer laziness or internal policy, their drivers routinely refuse to deliver to the actual address and instead dump packages at drop-off points kilometres away from where they’re meant to go.

Worse still, if the delivery is addressed to a business, only the named administrator can collect it—so forget having staff pick it up. Our nearest collection point is 3km away from our office. Completely unacceptable for a service we’ve already paid for.

To add insult to injury, their drivers flat-out lie. We had a delivery supposedly attempted at 3:24pm. Our building has 24-hour reception, staffed by at least three people during the day and one overnight. There were no UPS vans, no delivery attempt, and no contact. Even our building’s security guard confirmed no UPS presence that entire day. Yet the tracking info stated “Nobody in.” It’s blatant dishonesty.

UPS’s complete lack of accountability, appalling customer service, and inability to perform the one task they’re supposed to—deliver parcels—is astonishing. One look at their public reviews tells you everything you need to know. It’s a wonder how they’re still in business.

Lazy. Dishonest. Inept. UPS is the very definition of incompetence in logistics.

Abandoned by Svea Solar — Appalling Customer Treatment After €24,000 Investment

I chose Svea Solar because they presented themselves as a reliable, long-standing European company. I invested over €24,000 installing solar panels on two properties in Spain — trusting their brand, their reputation, and their supposed commitment to long-term service.

Less than two years later, Svea Solar quietly abandoned their entire Spanish operation. No warning, no customer email, no phone call — just a vague note on their website saying they’ve left the market and that customers should contact Chinese manufacturers directly for any issues. Service or support? “Find another company.” That’s the message.

I now have two expensive solar systems with no warranty support and no accountability from the company I paid a small fortune to. This isn’t just poor customer service — it’s a betrayal of trust.

If Svea Solar can walk away from a market and leave thousands of customers in the dark with no support, what confidence should anyone have in their operations elsewhere?

Appalling conduct. Shame on you, Svea Solar.

Thank you for the reply, Svea Solar. I have contacted several installers, and they won't touch our installation for fear of voiding our warranty.

I have emailed you numerous times. I have also tried to call too (nobody has actually picked up), so what do I do?

I need to make some modifications to my set-up, but nobody will touch our installation until the warranty expires....with 8 years remaining.

So I have two choices. Leave things as they are (which doesn't really work for us, or sign a waiver and risk voiding our warranty).

Plus who will manage my system when something goes wrong? Who can log into our system to make changes?

Tell me what I am to do? Because you have provided absolutely no information.

Hi Nick,

Thank you for sharing your experience. We understand your disappointment, and we’re truly sorry for the frustration this situation has caused.

It’s with regret that we’ve had to wind down our operations in Spain. This was not a decision taken lightly, and we recognize that the transition has affected customers like yourself. Unfortunately, our Swedish organization is not able to take over responsibility for services in markets we’ve exited.

Manufacturer warranties remain valid, and for service needs we recommend turning to local providers with experience in solar systems. We’re grateful for the trust you placed in us and understand that this outcome has not lived up to your expectations.

Halfords? More Like Halfrauds – A Complete Disgrace

I wish I could give Halfords zero stars. Their customer service is an absolute joke, and their handling of orders is nothing short of fraudulent.

I placed an order for over £100 on 28th February and, realising the recipient wouldn’t be available on the claimed delivery date, I called within 10 minutes to cancel. What did Halfords tell me? “It’s already packed and on its way.” Complete lies—no company processes and ships an order that fast.

I then contacted American Express, who advised me to wait until the charge appeared. Fine. But I at least had a reference number from the lying customer service agent I had spoken to.

Fast forward three days later, and I had to chase them up myself since they conveniently never got back to me after saying they would within 48 hours. After waiting on hold for 25 minutes, I was finally connected to an agent who feigned “empathy” before putting me on hold to “investigate.” No surprises here—after 47 minutes of waiting, the call was mysteriously disconnected.

Then today, 15 days after I placed the order, I get an email apologising and claiming the cancellation came too late but that I’m “welcome” to return the order since it has been delivered. More lies.
1. No one is at that address to receive it. The recipient is abroad with me.
2. The order was supposed to arrive on 6th March—it is now the 15th.
3. Their own website still claims the items are “en route.”
4. The DHL tracking link? Dead. How convenient.

What does this tell you? That Halfords is utterly incompetent at best, fraudulent at worst. They ignored my cancellation, failed to update me, disconnected my call, lied about delivery, and even now, 15 days later, their system still can’t get the story straight.

If you’re thinking of ordering from Halfords, DON’T. Their customer service is non-existent, their refund process is designed to frustrate you into giving up, and their handling of cancellations is a scam.

This company is an embarrassment, and they can think again if they think I’ll ever shop with them again.

Halfords? More like Halfrauds.

Shocked and Disappointed: Why I’ve Ditched Muc Off Chamois Cream for Good

As a dedicated cyclist, I’ve always been careful about the products I use to ensure my comfort and safety on long rides. Muc Off’s chamois cream was once my go-to product, but after recently learning that it contains BHT (Butylated Hydroxytoluene), I was shocked and deeply disappointed.

What’s the issue with BHT?

BHT is a synthetic antioxidant used to preserve fats and oils in products, but it’s also a chemical that’s been flagged as potentially hazardous. Studies have shown that at high doses, it can cause skin irritation and even disrupt hormones. The idea that I’ve been applying something containing this substance to my skin, especially in sensitive areas, is alarming. It begs the question: Why is Muc Off still using BHT when safer, more natural alternatives are readily available in today’s market?

Other brands are doing better

What’s even more frustrating is that there are many competitors who offer similar products without resorting to such concerning chemicals. These companies use more natural ingredients that prioritise the health of their users, and for me, this is where the industry should be heading. It’s 2024 – we shouldn’t still be using ingredients that have been flagged as potentially harmful for years. With cycling becoming more and more popular, we as consumers deserve better from brands like Muc Off, especially when safer options are already out there.

Why I’m making the switch

After learning about BHT and its potential risks, I’ve binned all my Muc Off chamois cream. There’s no excuse for including this ingredient when other brands have proven you can create effective products without it. I’ve now switched to a BHT-free chamois cream from a competitor, and I feel much better knowing I’m using something safer for my skin and my body.

Final thoughts

Muc Off may be a popular name in the cycling world, but this reliance on hazardous chemicals like BHT is simply unacceptable. It’s time they listened to their customers and took steps to remove such ingredients from their products. Until then, I’ll be looking elsewhere for my cycling care essentials, and I encourage other riders to do the same.

Nothing more than a scam site

Let's start but saying this is a scam.

I have to confess, I was apprehensive before buying from Swisst. There's a lot of self-promotion, but no independent third-party reviews of their products. Nevertheless, I ordered their band for my Ultra 2 watch.

I'd seen similar bands on AliExpress, but Swisst claimed their strap came with a clasp and used titanium for the metal parts. I thought it must be a premium version of the same $12 strap from AliExpress.

So I ordered and waited. The strap arrived a few days later, and straight off, it was clear I did not get what I paid for.

The box was the same unbranded generic box AliExpress sells, and the photo on the box showed a buckle instead of a clasp.

Opening the box showed me the same cheap budget strap from AliExpress. The metal parts are steel, not titanium. How did I prove this? Simple. Just use a magnet. If it sticks, it's not titanium, as the metal is not magnetic. The magnet, however, stuck to it like glue.

So what I had was a cheap $12 strap from AliExpress, and I paid $49. Did I feel ripped off? Heck yes.

I contacted Swisst right away with photos, and asked for a full refund. Initially, they did not accept and offered me a 50% refund, which I found unacceptable. I felt scammed and did not want this cheap product.

I declined the offer and insisted on a full refund. After waiting patiently for 5 days, Swisst agreed to a full refund, but insisted I return the item to their address in the US. (I live in Europe). I said that would be fine, but only on the condition Swisst cover the delivery costs. (It would cost almost as much to send it to them).

A couple of days later, Swisst said they could not do this, but offered a 70% refund as a compromise, which I accepted begrudgingly.

Another week later, I received a notification of the refund, and my bank notified me of my refund yesterday.

What I am left with is a $12 dollar low-quality strap that I did not want, and I ended up paying $14 for it, feeling scammed.

I would not recommend Swisst to anyone after this experience, It's clear they resell AliExpress products for a hugely inflated price. I have looked and all their products are available on other shopping sites for a fraction of the price.

Si no pasa nada, genial.

Review of Tradeinn

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

TradeINN practices inventory fraud claiming items are in stock but they are not.

As many have said, this company practices fraud.

They claim to have stock when none is available. You order parts from them when they claim they have items in stock (and it'll even give you a delivery time of a few days), and then when you place the order, they'll revise the delivery time for a couple of months away.

In the meantime, they will take and hold your money. If you cancel, they'll hold it for a further 30 days before they decide to return it.

This is a form of inventory fraud and it's illegal.

My guess is they use it to cook the accounts so that it appears as though their operating profit is higher than it really is. You place an order and pay them. They delay the order (as they don't even have the parts available), and their end of month accounts look very rosey.

Even more so now in November as TradeINN is a Spanish company and their tax year is January to December, so since my order is delayed until next year suddenly, that'll look great when they present their accounts.

On top of this, when you try to call them, their agents are constantly busy. If you try to chat with them, they initiate the chat and then ignore you. Their automated WhatsApp bot spams you, and they ignore emails you send to them. Oh, and whenever I try to cancel the order, the website throws a wobbly and returns an error.

Fraudsters. Liars. Scammers.

Review of Three UK

Avoid at all costs.

Two years ago, I gave Three great reviews. The service worked as described....until Brexit happened.

New policies were brought in post brexit (obviously in favour of the telecoms companies), and my line was stopped, "as I had now roamed for too long", leaving me stranded.

No matter what plea I made with Three, they refused to reactivate roaming, until (as they put it), returned to the UK. (I had no plans to do so for over a year).

Upon returning to the UK recently, everything returned to normal and the line worked as they said it would. Great I thought. I could now reactivate roaming upon returning to Spain.

However, on arrival in Spain, my line did not work, and after four attempts, roaming has not been re-enabled.

Now I want to terminate the service and move to another carrier that specialises in my situation.

However they can only send me my PAC number by SMS....but guess what? I can't enable the line as they can't get roaming to work! How the heck am I supposed to get my PAC then if they won't enable my line while roaming!?!?!?!

Their "security team" claims SMS is secure! Get out of here! It's probably the least secure method of transporting data!

They refuse to email my PAC, or even send it by post to my address in the UK. So they are holding my own number hostage and refuse to help me any further. (Although they claim they are "sorry" this is happening).

To top it off and add insult to injury, my £6 per month contract which I only took to receive calls and SMS messages, is being discontinued and they are replacing it with a £17 per month contract rate!!!!!!!

Three is a total joke of a company and their practices have to be seriously questioned.

I will be raising the matter with Ofcom but avoid this company with a barge pole.

Carísimo. Problemas de privacidad. Equipos de mala calidad. Servicio cuestionable.

Terrible.

Once the bike was ordered, they set the bike up and had it delivered within just 2 working days fully set up aside from the handlebars and the front wheel detached.

They also provided me with information over the phone when needed and provided the best price across all of Spain.

Would definitely recommend and buy again from these guys.

No age check or KYC....very dodgy. Not to be trusted!

I've reported this site to both TrustPilot and the UK Gambling Commission. They are unregulated and while licensed in Curacao, they don't offer any player protection and don't abide by any ASA and compliance regulations.

CryptoFairPlay offer no age gate restrictions, meaning minors can easily sign up and get hooked, moreover, they offer no KYC protection so this raises a lot of red flags which the previous reviewers have highlighted.

In conclusion, this site is illegal in the UK so should not be trusted.

In reply: Your agent (John), told me there was no age verification required for free play. That's not legal in the UK and again ASA and Gambling Commission rules. Moreover, John also gave me US$5 of BTC without verifying my ID, or my age. What if it were a 12 year old? A 15 year old? Or somebody with a gambling addiction that has self-excluded using Gamstop?

And yes, I said I'd give a review. I never said I'd give a positive one.

Irresponsible, and very untrustworthy.

I also want to add all your 5* reviews have just 1 review, and I've been informed you cannot read IP addresses on the reviews so that's all nonsense. I couldn't tell you who the other 1* reviews are, but news spreads fast in the regulated gambling world with consumers....

Review of Ralph Lauren

Rated 1 out of 5 stars

Slow. Unreliable. Unhelpful. Shambles. Not at all "high end" as they claim. A total joke.

As others have said, the customer experience with buying Ralph Lauren products is horrific.

I made an order on the week before Christmas and my payment was rejected initially which was odd as it came through as successful from my bank and the money left my account. Ralph Lauren played the "ignorant" card telling me it was my bank (it was not), and I had to wait 3 days for that money to be returned to me.

In the meantime, I made another payment (now totalling over 500eur), for the item using the same card and the payment went through without a glitch.

Eventually the item arrived and on inspection, the gift box it came in was totally ruined, and while the item didn't fit, it was a shame that the presentation as so poor for a "luxury high end" item.

We returned the item in the new year on the 2nd January and it was sent by UPS. Even though I emailed Ralph Lauren, I felt like I was living Ground Hog day as I was asked several times the same details, and they "would get back to me".

Eventually on the third attempt, somebody did acknowledge the return and the following day, the item was delivered. No update from Ralph Lauren however.

After 3 days, I contacted Ralph Lauren to ask about the return and they replied telling me all was good and they would process the refund.

14 days on since I sent the item, I still don't have a refund and I'm still waiting.

I've tried to call their phone number on the website but that number is out of order and my emails have gone ignored.

Avoid this website, but if you have to order from this company, use a credit card and do a chargeback. Don't use a debit card as you'll be left hanging for weeks on your refund.

In the meantime, I've returned a couple of items purchased from a major online clothing retailer and the return and refund was processed in 5 days. Why can't a high-end name like Ralph Lauren be more professional like their competition?
