Excellent recovery of service by their CEO

I have to say OENO’s CEO well and truly deserves a 5* rating.

Having had such a terrible experience, when dealing with my portfolio manager (see previous review), I decided enough was enough and I contacted Michael Doerr the companies CEO.

What an amazing gentleman, truly a man of his word and very passionate about his company. Every aspect of my complaint has been dealt with efficiently going above and beyond to resolve ALL the issues I raised.

I can honestly say I would be more than happy to do business with OENO again thanks to both the professional and personal way Michael Doerr operates!

I find myself posting this on the back…

I find myself posting this on the back of the recent BBC Documentary!

Whilst I fully appreciate the pain, suffering and irreversible life long damage those low life scammers (keeping it polite) have inflicted on innocent investors I cannot just stand by and not speak up for the Whisky Cask investment company I have trusted since early 2022!

I have a total of eight(8) casks with Tomoka, I hold both the full cask details and HMRC registered bonded warehouse storage details. If required they can arrange for me to speak with, visit the location of where my casks are stored.

If you want a trusted, honest and professional broker please contact Tomoka, you will not be disappointed!

Thanks to both Thomas and his team for giving me the confidence that my cask investments are in safe hands!

STAY away!!!

Having stood on both sides of fence this bank is using outdated, draconian systems some from when the bank opened in 1989.!
They are years behind other banks, they can no longer rely on good customer service scores as they are going down the pan!!!

Opening accounts, after banking with them for around 30 years you still have to apply for a joint savings account over the phone!!! This takes about an hour for them to say you ‘DO NOT’ meet the account opening criteria! Or if they do, you have to wait for the application form to arrive/sign it then it’s opens two(2) to three(3) weeks later.

I can open a savings account with MONZO in joint names in 2(two) minuets! If that!!!

They seriously need to up their game, if HSBC will let them!!!

They don’t treat the staff much better timing them how long they go for a loo break.!!

Just in the process of moving all my banking away…avoid disappointment do NOT join in the first place.!!!

The days of a ‘Long Banking…

The days of a ‘Long Banking Relationship’ holding any value are long gone! Having banked with FD since 1996, Midland bank prior to that, I feel absolutely let down by the bank I used to trust! FD always took pride in helping its loyal customers they were always there on the end of the phone!
I am an Army LGBT veteran whom served his country and is now in receipt of a war pension for PTSD. I am in the process of claiming my LGBT-FRS award payments and approached the bank for some short term assistance!
I spoke several times on the phone, passed from pillar to post for around a week until eventually I was told the ‘bank did not have the financial appetite’ to help!!
This decision was apparently looked at by the underwriters whom incidentally did NOT have the decency to talk with me or discuss confirmation of funds from the MOD and simply sent out a text message saying NO!
Passion, value, family are gone, you are left with HSBC in sheep’s clothing.!!
Shame on you FD once things are settled back down I will be looking elsewhere!!

Response to reply: I have already logged a complaint…a lot of good that will do as I was advised by your lending team representative it will not impact any decision.!! Basically, take your business elsewhere as you do not fit in our business model anymore.!!!

Seems to be a lot of these types of reviews lately!! Not ringing any alarm bells FD!?!?!?

Logged a complaint, a lot of good that did NOT! Zero compassion, Zero interest in my personal circumstances!

They simply rely on customers whom do not want to go through the experience/hassle of transferring accounts.!! Believe me, it’s worth it you will not regret it!!!

Brilliant at taking on new business…

Brilliant at taking on new business however, absolutely shambolic after sales service. Had an awful experience with one SENIOR OENO broker whom was more interested in watching football rather than discussing my portfolio.

Eventually i felt it no longer in my best interest to stay invested in OENO and took the decision to move my portfolio to an alternative broker. After weeks of phone calls, numerous excuses I discovered they didn’t know were my wines had been located. Due to the complete mess of trying to move, said wines, I was given the option of alternative wines to move along with compensation for the totally unprofessional way in which OENO had handled the move.

I can say eventually after one or two difficult conversations, this total mess was sorted out.

Think carefully before investing, these are a well known, genuine company just shocking administrative practices.

Tomoka have built up my Whisk(e)y…

Tomoka have built up my Whisk(e)y portfolio over a number of years and having experienced the full process of buying/selling I cannot recommend these guys enough.! Thomas is clearly very passionate about his role and I trust both his instinct and knowledge 100%.!! I don’t feel so much as like a client…but as a friend.!! My Whisk(e)y journey started with Tomoka and will inevitably finish with them I would NOT trust anyone else in the industry!
