Bookwhen made my life much easier

I started using Bookwhen at the beginning of lockdown, and it was an absolute lifesaver. Launching online classes while trying to manage bookings, payments and new technology was incredibly challenging, but Bookwhen made it all manageable.

Setting up your classes on the platform is definitely a time investment, as it’s a very comprehensive system. But once everything is in place, it takes a huge weight off your shoulders. The system runs smoothly, and everything becomes so much easier to manage.

The support team is second to none, always available, friendly, and genuinely helpful. I highly recommend Bookwhen to anyone running classes or events. It’s a fantastic tool and a reliable partner for your business.

The Solicitors Regulation Authority…

The Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) has shown itself to be utterly ineffective and, in my view, complicit in enabling unethical behavior within the legal profession.

My sons were the rightful beneficiaries of a death-in-service payment following their father’s death. The solicitors managing the estate failed to notify them, held a substantial sum of money in a “client account” for over three years, and then took six additional months to transfer the funds once the issue came to light. This wasn’t an accident—it was gross negligence at best, and potentially deliberate withholding at worst.

We submitted a detailed and fully evidenced complaint to the SRA. Their response? They dismissed it as “human error”—no investigation, no accountability, no consequences for the solicitors involved. The final insult: a paltry 0.65% interest paid on funds withheld for years.

What is the point of a regulator that refuses to regulate? The SRA appears more interested in protecting rogue solicitors than the public they’re supposed to serve. If this case doesn’t warrant action, one has to wonder what ever would.

The SRA is, in my experience, a toothless, complacent body that has no real intention of protecting people from misconduct. Shameful.

Avoid like a plague

Summer 2023, a good friend approached me to tell me about this new wonderful energy company that would save me a lot of money. After a few weeks of chasing I decided to give it a chance (he was clearly getting a commission if I switched). He arranged a zoom call with an UW advisor (he was in the call learning to become an advisor himself) and after spending approx 90 mins going closely through my energy bills the advisor tells me that I could reduce my bill from £272 to £123 per month. WOW! However, I would have to take up at least 2 more services so I chose Wi-Fi (Openreach), boiler cover, and I also took up self-employment insurance. Total: £194. HAPPY DAYS!
New Internet: useless. Had to request the eeros for the WIF Ito work (extra cost after 6 months).
Comes Dec 2023 and I get a letter saying I had been underpaying and that my new monthly charge would be £453. I had to pay this new amount for 2 months then the bill went down to £337. I tried to speak to customer services about it but they would not have it. It was an error.
I've now cancelled all the services (incl boiler cover and insurance) but still have the WiFi until Dec 2024.
I just cannot believe I feel for this scam!

I've had a quick check over the account and can see you were set up on a budget plan payment which allows you to build up credit or deficit depending on your usage.

We always have the option for monthly in arrears as well where you pay for the energy you use. We'll use your feedback to make improvements in the sign up process so customers get all the information.

Customer Service NON-EXISTENT

I booked a return ticket to Malaga last September to travel this weekend. The e-ticket only shows the outbound flight. I'm trying to see "My Bookings" when I log into my account and I just get an error message. There is simply no sign of the return flight anywhere.
Customer Service in non-existent. I'm chatting with a robot that does not offer me the option that I need.
I can't take any chances so I booked a return flight that costed me 4 times the initial ticket.
I will certainly take this higher up.
I would NEVER use them again.

Don't even go there!

This insurance company has really gone downhill during the last couple of years. I had been with them for several years and was happy with their pricing and service. Last year I had a problem with them when they failed to input my insurance information correctly in the DVLA database having as a result the DVLA telling me I was riding my bike without insurance for about 3 months, the time JMI took to put it right.
This year they renewed my insurance policy without notification of any kind -before or after renewal- charging me almost 3 times of what I normally pay.
I guess this is partly my fault for not keeping a close eye on the date my insurance was due to be renewed and relied solely on their "religious" reminders.
I've now cancelled my insurance policy with them and gone somewhere else paying approximately what I normally pay.

Pure garbage.

I bought 5 although I wanted to buy 10+ and I’m so glad I didn’t. The advertising was perfectly executed but it never mentioned the fact that it only works with Bluetooth which means that once out of range the magic disappears. The design relies on EVERYONE having this gadget and EVERYONE having Bluetooth on 24/7 so you can keep track of your devices at any point in time. This is simply not feasible. I’m terribly disappointed. What a waste of money that has been.
So many “wonderful things” being sold on social media these days but in reality is pure garbage.
Ever since TRACKR I promised myself NEVER EVER to buy from social media again!

Cowboys crew members

Arrow XL was used as a third party by Siemens to install a new washing machine for me on March, 1st.
The job involved running the new washing machine's hose and cable behind an existing dishwasher into the services under the sink. After they left I found that my dishwasher door was severely damage. The door would not open more than 45 degrees without the hinge becoming detached. I then noticed that the appliance was protruding at the bottom and the door had a big dent with shoe marks.
They've clearly push the dishwasher out to run the w/m hose and cable and struggled to push the dishwasher back into place therefore kicked it in causing the damage.
I provided photographic evidence but they would only accept CCTV evidence or witness written statement. Because of the age of my appliance they claimed that it was already like that.
Luckily I had the appliance covered under a service plan so had it fixed with not further costs.
If you have Arrow XL coming into your house to provide a service get your phone out and video everything they do just in case!
