I got a really good deal on a cookbook

I got a really good deal on a cookbook. I didn't know it came in paperback (money saved) and it was ever so slightly used and in terrific shape (more money saved!). It took a couple weeks to get to me but that might have been bc of the holidays. I'll definitely use Thriftbooks again.

Review of Too Good To Go

This is important for the environment

Too Good To Go is a really good idea. Vendors that have food left over at the end of the shift, package it up and sell it to you at a reduced price. Most of the vendors that I've dealt with are friendly and provide more than your money's worth (like Bad Bakers), some, who shall remain nameless, act like you're coming in for a hand-out (Hey, I paid for this buddy!). TGTG will be a lot better once more vendors are added. Thanks!

This is real tea for real tea drinkers.

I've been getting my tea at English Tea Store for a few years now. I realized the tea bags I was buying in a grocery store where not only tasteless, but I was really getting ripped off by how little they give you. I found the English Tea Store, and now I buy in bulk and use my own diffuser. They have all the fancy flavors, but I like a black tea (Irish Breakfast), really strong, with milk and sugar. Yum! They have good prices, fast delivery, and other English goods too, like food, Christmas & kitchen items.

Their veggies are fresh!

I've been with Green Chef for a few months now. And they provide fresh vegetables in their packages, and that's number one with me. I've subscribed to other meal delivery services and it can get pretty bad. But Green Chef has consistently supplied me with fresh ingredients and nice spices. I'm a sauce nut, and and the more sauce recipes they can include in their packages is a good thing. They provide some, but I wish it were more and different kinds of sauces. Sauces make an everyday meal special! The prices are competitive with other meal services. Their delivery people are very reliable. I tried their Thanksgiving menu, and there was A LOT of food. We definitely got our money's worth.

I'm iffy but still trying them out

I've ordered 3 boxes from HelloFresh so far. In 2 of those, there were ingredients that were not fresh. I received a tomato that was nowhere near fresh. And I received ginger that was not fresh. Considering there are so few ingredients to the meals, each ingredient is crucial to the flavor.
Also, I don't like having to spend an extra $10 for one piece of fish.

I've been a customer for at least 6…

I've been a customer for at least 6 months now. Most of the meals come In good shape, but there's been a lot of times where the food is not fresh or there's a hole in the package and it's spewing everywhere. I've had the hole in the package event happen twice now, where it's a key ingredient so the whole meal is worthless. And they don't deliver missing foods to you, all they offer to do is give a partial credit on that week's meal.
