On anon bc it's DA fandom lolllll, but I want to say, as someone who always had strong preference for one of the older DA games, I wish more people enjoyed the fandom and their experience with games in a way you do. That's why I'm following you and not following blogs that post more content for the particular game I'm rabid about – you just exude joy when you are talking about your little guys! ( ꈍᴗꈍ) In general Veilguard-themed blogs are simply a haven of fandom enjoyment from what I have experienced in the year since datv dropped and I had my own DA Renaissance.
Post hard and have fun and never look back at the seething.

I won’t lie, it’s been a struggle, somewhat in part because of the fandom itself giving me constant radiation damage & because of the current state of the world + my frequently unstable mental health but I do my best to keep my blog my “happy place” as much as I can, and I try to keep my more contentious da opinions to my drafts or my sideblog so I’m not adding to the echochamber of constant negativity 😭 I just don’t get anything out of focusing on that, I’m here to play dolls and add to my digital scrapbook fhdhdjd

Honestly I think a lot of people who have never made a gif for tumblr don't get that it does actually take time and effort, its not just rip it from a video and post it- you have to download the video, in my case I have a video player installed that grabs continuous caps, figure out what parts you need, you have to open those in photoshop or gimp, depending on where you got photoshop you might be paying for it every month and then on top of that is actually sizing, cropping, colouring, sharpening, adding text, etc. etc. like it is something that takes time and effort for which the only real reward is creating something that makes you happy and hopefully people reblog it with a nice or funny tag, so maybe keep that in mind the next time you think gif makers are being mean or unfair for being upset about reposts. It is its own little artform that is fairly unique to this website, and that's a big aspect of why I have always loved tumblr, if all the gifmakers stopped posting things would be a lot more boring around here.

This may look like it's leading up to smut, but the oneshot is actually them being weird about each other and wanting things for almost the entire duration of the piece.
Lucanis's eyes met hers, a dazed green flicker facing up. Rook kept her neck craned to look at him, a task he felt becoming as strenuous to her as standing up. One of her legs moved up, and, catching on to her intention, he slid his arm under it, lifting her until she was seated on the dresser. Their eye level was now even, though that did not do away with the tension in her body — she still looked taut, like there was something more to her, something he didn’t see, and she did not want him to.
“Now you are gawking,” she chastised him over the pause.
Stop. No Gawking. Only Rook.
“I’m not,” he denied, both to her and Spite. “Only… looking.”
Rook did not seem satisfied with the answer. “At what?”
“You.”
Flush, out of breath, her lower lip bright red — it’s only now that he realised she must have bitten it to keep herself quiet. There was a lot to look at, past the usual composure she would keep, past his fear of wanting something he shouldn’t want to have. It was too late for fear; she was already here, with him.
“Is looking the only thing you want to do to me?” she asked.

I actually had something nearly post-ready this week for once so here’s an excerpt from the tiny fic I’m working on that takes place after the gang gets back from d'meta’s crossing.
