What do you like best about Basware?

As a manager, I work in Basware regularly to reference, verify, and approve invoices, and it has been a solid, dependable tool in our Accounts Payable process. One of the biggest benefits is the visibility it provides. Being able to quickly see invoice status, supporting documentation, and approval history makes it much easier to verify accuracy and keep things moving without unnecessary back-and-forth. What do you dislike about Basware?

The search functionality can be a bit challenging at times. Having to use all capital letters for certain searches isn’t very intuitive and can be frustrating, especially for users who are in the system frequently and need to move quickly. What problems is Basware solving and how is that benefiting you?

Basware helps solve the challenge of cost comparison and invoice verification by providing clear visibility into invoice details and historical pricing. Being able to easily compare costs across vendors, purchase orders, and previous invoices helps ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies, and prevent overbilling.

This visibility supports better cost control and more informed decision-making. From a management perspective, it saves time, improves confidence in approvals, and helps ensure we are paying the correct amounts while maintaining consistency and accountability in the Accounts Payable process. While Basware is a strong procure-to-pay tool, some workflows are not very intuitive and require multiple steps for simple actions. The system can also feel slow at times, and certain error messages are not very clear, which makes troubleshooting difficult. Additionally, handling exceptions or changes—such as updating bank details or reprocessing invoices—often requires manual work, which could be improved with more flexibility and automation. What do you like best about Basware?

BT Cloud Scan proves to be a highly effective tool for managing scanning processes involving various business partners. Its primary function is to facilitate the transition from paper invoices to E-invoices within the freight process, covering operations in over 29 countries. Using the BT portal, we can access detailed information on both sent and received invoices, whether they arrive by email or through EDI Tradeshift categories. What do you dislike about Basware?

Yes, we have observed that our business partners are facing delays with scanning from the Xerox team when using EMAIL, TRADESHIFT, and BT modes. We are receiving numerous escalation emails from business partners regarding these scanning delays. When we submit invoices to the Basware workflow queue, we do receive an acknowledgement from the scanning team confirming acceptance, which is helpful. However, it would be even better if we could also receive a separate acknowledgement once the documents have actually been scanned into our workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Basware solving and how is that benefiting you?

Within the BT Login, there is a dedicated tab for both Sent files and Incoming invoices. It would be helpful if the Sent files report could also display bucket information. This addition would allow us to track the trend of when files were sent for scanning and when they were actually scanned, along with the number of aged days. "Streamlined Invoice Processing with Opportunities for Improvement"

What do you like best about Basware?

I really like the integrated and automated invoice upload and data extraction features of Basware, as they make my life easier by eliminating manual entry. The mailbox directly connected to Basware allows it to extract data from invoices, usually in PDF format, and populate it into the system automatically. Also, I find the message function helpful for communicating with the purchase order owner to ensure 100% accurate payment allocation. Additionally, the transition was smooth and the API setting was straightforward when working with the supplier. I appreciate that the process, which was previously manual, can now match invoices automatically within Basware and be further processed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Basware?

The search function is useful but not that user friendly. I have to set enough parameters to find what I am looking for. I would suggest allowing the user to have the ability to set search defaults to reduce the repetition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
