What do you like best about RingEX?

What I like best about RingEX is how it brings everything I need for communication into one unified platform. Instead of juggling separate tools for calls, messaging, and meetings, I can do it all in one place, which saves time and keeps my work more organized.

The call quality and reliability are strong, and features like call routing and voicemail‑to‑email make managing conversations much smoother. I also really appreciate how the system stays in sync across desktop and mobile, so I can stay connected whether I’m at my desk or on the go. What do you dislike about RingEX?

While RingEX has been very helpful overall, there are a few things that have been less than ideal for me. First, the interface can sometimes feel a bit overwhelming at first — especially with so many features packed in — and it took me a while to get comfortable navigating everything.

I’ve also noticed that the mobile app, though functional, doesn’t always feel as smooth or responsive as the desktop version, which can be frustrating when I’m trying to work on the go. Some advanced features I’d like to use more often require a bit of setup or technical knowledge, and I’ve had to spend extra time figuring those out.

Lastly, there have been occasions where support response times were slower than I expected, so getting help wasn’t always as quick as I hoped. Overall, these issues haven’t outweighed the benefits, but they’re areas where I think RingEX could improve.” Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RingEX?

What I like most about RingEX is how simple and easy the system is to use. We recently switched from a cumbersome Cisco setup, and the difference has been huge. Everything is easier to navigate, and finding what you need is quick. The implementation was straightforward, and their customer support has been great from the start. The feature set is solid, and I haven’t run into anything I couldn’t do. Integrating RingEX with other apps, such as Teams, was quick and painless. I use the system every day and couldn’t be happier. "Mixed Experience: Powerful Features, But Difficult Onboarding"
What do you like best about RingEX?

I like the feature of being able to answer calls from anywhere as long as we're signed in on our cell phones. It keeps our personal information safe when calling customers. I also appreciate seeing who's available, who's offline, and who's on a call. I like the simplicity of the HUD extension review. I enjoy the text messages, the easiness of the voicemails, and the HUD. The ability to mask my call and transfer calls to our technicians in the field, along with the capability to treat calls easily from desk to desk, are beneficial. What do you dislike about RingEX?

Definitely the onboarding. The onboarding was very confusing and I was misinformed about how the extensions, licenses, and porting worked. I was told to port out all my numbers when I really didn't need to, which was a big pain. Customer service was not sympathetic when I hadn't been able to use the product for three months and was still being billed. It took speaking to a manager to get some kind of compensation. Learning the product was also challenging as it has more features than I'm used to. Setting up the phones was difficult, and I had to keep calling support. It's confusing trying to figure out how the product works with other platforms like Google Chat and ServiceTitan. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about RingEX?

I like RingEX because it is automating and easy to use. I can use it on various devices like the phone, desk phone, and laptop. The integration with a few CRMs is beneficial, and it has many assets we continuously implement. I can send faxes and record calls for compliance, and it helps keep a history of calls and messages, making compliance straightforward. The initial setup was very easy, and the tech support is great. I think it would be nice to have a personal voice instead of just eight avatars. It would be great to have it personalized for individual needs. Also, it would be cool if the avatar could be personalized with your own picture, so it's easier for clients to recognize your voice and eventually your face. "Reliable Communication with Cutting-Edge AI Features"
What do you like best about RingEX?

I love the flexibility and forward-thinking that RingEX provides, especially with the implementation of their new AI features that benefit our business and make the jobs of our associates easier. We appreciate the use of the AI receptionist, which is helping us direct callers more effectively to users who can assist them with their specific needs. The ability to access cloud services is another aspect I like about RingEX. We are also excited about demoing the new AVA product to see how it can further benefit our users. What do you dislike about RingEX?

Reporting is one aspect that needs to be explored. We utilize a large number of call queues and reporting is very limited. For example, we need better reporting on time to abandon in queues, when users are logged into the queue to accept calls and where calls were ended...by the caller or the user. Importing the phone numbers from previous carriers was the hardest part for us with nearly 1000 associates at the time. Each user had both a local DID and toll free number assigned to them, not including all the other phone numbers for hunt groups or as RingEX refers to them now, call queues. While RingCentral offers robust features and functionality, my experience as a solo business owner has revealed several areas for improvement in both onboarding support and platform flexibility.

Onboarding and Account Management

As an online business setup, I was not assigned an account manager and received no proactive outreach during the critical implementation phase. When I initiated contact for assistance, the support representatives provided inconsistent information and failed to follow through on commitments. This left me navigating the platform setup independently with numerous unresolved questions. A dedicated onboarding specialist who actively engages new customers would significantly improve the initial experience rather than relying solely on self service resources like Ring University.

Feature Limitations for Solo Entrepreneurs

The platform's architecture appears optimized for team environments, which creates inefficiencies for single user businesses. Many features remain unutilized in my current configuration, representing unnecessary overhead for a solo operation.

Most critically, RingCentral's handling of multiple phone numbers presents a significant operational challenge. My previous platform allowed a single user account to manage two distinct numbers (toll free and local) for separate business entities, with full SMS/MMS capabilities and clear customer identification for each line. This functionality enabled appropriate auto responses and maintained clear business separation without requiring additional user licenses.

RingCentral's current structure requires separate user accounts for this same functionality, effectively doubling my operational costs a substantial burden for small business budgets.

Feature Parity Request

As a RingEX Ultra user, I would greatly benefit from access to the omnichannel capabilities currently exclusive to the CX platform. The ability to engage customers seamlessly across multiple communication channels would enhance customer experience and streamline operations, even for smaller businesses. This feature integration would provide significant value without requiring a full platform migration.

Recommendations for Improvement

*Implement true multi-site/multi-number functionality within single user accounts

*Develop a structured onboarding program with dedicated specialists for new customers

*Update and maintain help documentation to align with current platform features and eliminate broken links

*Consider creating a tier specifically designed for solo entrepreneurs with appropriate feature sets and pricing
