This is a little gem.
Loved Niall and Dan!!

Niall has a boyfriend. Dan. His hot, beefy, bad-ass cop boyfriend, with protective instincts galore and an inexplicable weakness for a certain flighty – and flexible - dance major. Things are getting hot and heavy and Niall is realizing exactly how cherished and wanted and safe he is in Dan’s hands. And he thinks he just may have met the one man he can trust with his secret. This was adorable and deliciously dirty at the same time.
Niall and Dan have been together for six months and are complete opposites.
Dan is a rough, tough cop but is an absolute pussy cat where Niall is concerned. He's so protective, all he wants is to take care of Niall.

Niall is a kind of free spirit.A bit of a diva in the best way.He certainly knows how to push Dan's buttons.I loved everything about him, from his love of heels and his love of wearing women's underwear.

But Niall is hiding this aspect of his life from Dan....
until Dan watches him dancing to Billie Jean ......

A bit of a sub plot going on due to Dan's work but baring in mind this is a short story it totally works.

And the sex scenes are just delicious.

Boys in lacy knickers alert!

This is an utterly charming, totally sexy story about a dancer and his big, bad cop boyfriend.

The narrator, Niall, was cheeky and adorable, and Dan, his cop, was gruff but amazingly tender.

Don't let the bit of angst at the end throw you. It served to bring the MCs closer together, and there was never any doubt that things would work out. And the way Dan got all protective of Niall melted me into a puddle of teary-eyed goo.

This story was ultimately sweet and romantic. And HOT. Dear lord, was it ever hot: kinky, dirty sex galore. Excellent use was made of the knickers!

The writing was polished, and the feels warmed my heart.

So good, so very, very good.

I love this short.

Niall has been with Dan for 6 months now. And everything seems to be going really well. It looks like gruff cop Dan is the perfect boyfriend. Loving, considerate, and totally into Niall. But will he still be into Niall when he finds out Niall likes to wear sexy lingerie...?

What a wonderful short!. I absolutely loved Niall. He was such an awesome character. I loved everything about him. He had such a way with words, just amazing.

And although he’s mostly a top, we’ve both had a go at aiming the drill.

Next morning, he sees me off with a lingering grope ’n kiss, and I end up with a close to fifteen-inch hard-on.

We pull up to his house, and I prepare myself for being protected from potential criminal elements— hiding in bushes and dark corners. A blade of grass out of place there, Dan, better check it out! I scrutinise my man (his backside) as he checks the house over moodily, with his badass walk, then beckons me in.

I loved how sweet gruff cop Dan was with Niall. How he made him feel special by doing little things. Niall was all sass, but deep down he was so insecure. He needed a boyfriend like Dan, who took care of him.

And I was also thrilled we got some lovely hurt/comfort when ! This all made me so happy.

This duo always knows how to suck me in. I just love their writing.
I cannot express my love for this book enough.

Characters: surprisingly complex

Niall: flamboyant, cute, a bit insecure

Dan: surly-looking but tender and protective

Sex scenes: intimate, intense, fun

Writing: superb

Romance: established couple getting more… established

Conflict: Niall loves to wear women's lingerie and doesn’t know how to tell Dan

Drama: perfectly measured, not overdone ()

Recommended? Absolutely.

Sexy and adorbs.

And sizzling hot.

This is my first story by these authors and even though it's quite short, I'm amazed at how well they manage to give life to the characters and how that devotion towards each other devours every single page.

The relationship is already six months old, so the book mainly focuses on how Niall sees Dan, and how much his world spins around him ever since. How important Dan is to Niall, and how important is to Niall not to lose him.

Even when he feels the need to hide aspects of himself from him, fearing he wouldn't be fully accepted by Dan.

I'm not exactly fond of cross dressing, but I admit it's not something I run away from, either. So that's why I'm glad that part is used just fairly, avoiding to be overdone.

4 Stars - I guess the right world could be DELICIOUS.

Or maybe is it "amusinghotandsexy"? Or just nice and simple; absolutely adorable warm and fuzzy sweetness time. Nevertheless, Billie Jean is good reading stuff.

Talking about this 60 pages utterly cute & smexy novella Billie Jean. A quick read freebie romance a bunch of my friends talked well about (rightly). — I needed to find a way back to my daily normal reading romances hobby (after a period of much RL stuff like moving house) and this cutie probably did it.
 photo image.jpg3_zpseu1qf8sh.jpg

The plot isn't very hard, Billie Jean is a nice M/M erotic tale about a dance / teacher student, Niall, a young man who likes the feel of female lace lingerie. Ha has a quite new big tough bad-ass cop boyfriend Dan. Dan is a 'safe caretaker'. A man who just loves his beautiful gorgeous boyfriend Niall.
 photo IMG_2853_zpsydbnmzp8.jpg

‘In my hand there’s a pair of Sheriff Joe’s finest panties. Red and frilly. Small. I’m astonished.

“Put them on,” he whispers urgently, with a ferocious grin. “Under your suit, so I know about them but no one else does.”

Yes, this was exactly what I needed. Billie Jean is delightful delicious sweet and very heartwarming.

I like the way the story is told. It feels cozy close. The main character's feelings feels a bit childish uncertainty regarding the naked himself, his own needs, and to feel confident that in all circumstances be accepted. A way of being that we all sometimes feel safe. .... In any case I myself when I step into new relationships, large or small. We just want to be loved. Right?

I like the naughty feeling of delicate lingerie on a man (in my book). A flamboyant sincerely lovely character (always a M/M favorite). Add those steaming hot sweaty (not too boring long) bedchamber scenes. ...And some convincing grand romantic feelings.

Still a freebie (or a $1) download if you want to try —and maybe be seduced— you too.

4 Heart Melting Stars!!

This was all sorts of saucy sweet and sexy!

Now granted, I’ve only read Shut Your Face Anthony Pace from this formidable duo and swore then that it would definitely be the start of a new reading relationship, so I don’t know why I'm surprised that this seemingly innocuous piece of kinky lite fluff would also wrought some strong emotions (and a few tears) from me. Seriously, I’m shocked and titillated and emotionally jostled but all in a good way!

Niall’s got some sass and not a little flamboyance, but it’s his very beauty and personality that is the perfect foil to his stoic burly cop boyfriend, Dan. These two are complete opposites and shouldn’t work but they do. Niall doesn't have to like it but he’s understanding of Dan’s need for discretion. The very nature of Dan’s job needs Niall to be vigilant and careful for not only drawing attention but also to not be a potential target. When they start to get closer and spend more time together, Niall’s tendencies for dance and showmanship worries him - can conservative reticent Dan understand and accept this other side of him?

Again, this was smexy, steeped in some tremendous intimacy and feels that knocked me sideways. Everyone knows I love me an alpha gentle giant brought to his knees by lurve, and poor Dan is hit with a doozy! Oh my goodness yes!! *sniff*

This just reaffirmed that I need all the Davis and Stewart books! Don't miss this! It’s free and fabulous!

4 stars!

Oh goodness this was such a sweet and sexy rolled into one delicious read. Niall and Dan are polar opposites but so right for each other and their sexual chemistry so delicious. Niall was so funny I love his random words his so sweet and vulnerable especially with his relationship with Dan. He had me laughing at his quirkiness. Dan was a big lug of a man rough around the edges but was so so sweet and loving to Niall.

The story is quick with a bit of misunderstanding and some scary moments for both MC's but filled with so much love and tenderness and of course sexy sexy lingerie! <3

PS
The Billie Jean scene was my absolute favorite so sexy!

This classic DRitC story was hot, tender, and just kinky enough to keep things interesting!

As usual, Davis and Stewart’s writing was mesmerizing, affecting, and perfectly delicious, telling the story of hot and stoic cop Dan, and his feisty, manties wearing, dancer boyfriend Niall.

Dan and Niall are an established couple when this story begins, which may have played a part in why I didn’t love love this – I guess I just have a strange aversion to established couple stories, mostly because I’m greedy AF and want to witness ALL the firsts.

Having said that, I really liked these guys together and I enjoyed getting to witness them experience some intense and emotionally charged love-affirming moments together.

Davis and Stewart definitely bring the feels, even in such a short and steamy story, which just proves how talented they are at what they do.

Loved this little, tasty morsel of a novella! In fact I was licking the crumbs off the plate at the end. *G*
Two gorgeous guys, having hot sex with a sprinkling of kink and a good helping of emotion and feelings - AND absolutely top notch writing! Loved Niall's self-deprecating humour. Loved his vulnerability. And Dan was just totally swoon-worthy!

Niall and Dan are brilliant together. You can sense the bond they share, and it just made me sigh with joy to see how their relationship develops. It amazed me how much depth there was and how many feelings came with that. Billie Jean is really brimming over with goodness.

What a little treasure! I could have easily done with a much larger portion of Dan and Niall!

Highly recommended!

For the love of shoes and all things frilly, this was a great read!

In turn, frenzied and soothing. Lusty and tender. Tenebrous and luminescent. With a touch of intrigue and some blazing hot lovin’.

That, in itself, is enough. But it was more than that. This felt true. Authentic. Like reading through the pages of a diary. Through Niall’s lens, we are put through the emotional ringer that accompanies a new love tinted by a troubled past, a precarious present, and the distinctive load of harbored secrets.

The love, affection, and attraction are palpable and just plain hot. The swift shifts – from catastrophic despair to tentative sweetness to sheer eroticism – are beautifully captured.

I was quite moved by Niall’s reflection regarding his secret kink: I loved the self-awareness and mental resilience it revealed.

It made strong, quiet, alpha male Dan’s ultimate reaction to the whole reveal that much sweeter.

This is a story of love, trust, and acceptance. And... Scissor kick! I loved it! From the top of Niall’s trilby to the tip of his two-tone vans.

Sometimes you read a story and you feel that two characters absolutely have to be together. Anything else just isn't an option, this is one of those stories. Niall and Dan couldn't be more different, except the fact that neither of them are so good with the words. BUT, half the time they really didn't even need them because they really got each other. Dan especially. It didn't read as contrived though, I totally bought that Dan could read Niall when it mattered most.

Niall is so charming and sweet in his wanna be diva ways. He really isn't a diva, but he plays it up mildly for Dan's amusement and to cover up past hurts. The fact that he's a shoe whore much like myself I could completely get behind Niall. The story had me at "he fucked me into heaven and saved my shoes". Dan's basically my dream man, so I really feel I only need to say, "Yeah, he's Dan" and be done there. He's protective and growly and shy and sweet and perpetually horny for Niall and I loved him.

The lingerie worked SO well for these two and it's obvious their adventures are just starting out which makes me happy.

A really fun and charming read with really memorable characters. Thanks to Al and Claire for the story!

It is always a bad idea to go into anything with your hopes too high. But I had like the story prompt and had read the teasers on the prompt tread, so I couldn't help it. I did it anyway.

Not only was I not disappointed, I was completely blown away!

I absolutely loved this story!

I'm not sure how to go about this review without filling it with what might constitute spoilers, so I will only say a couple of things.

The first person narrative, a favorite of mine anyway, was absolutely wonderful. Niall's voices is manic and unique. And there is nearly as much not said as said, so that when you finally hear about Niall's past in the last few chapters of the book, it's not really a surprise. It's a sobfest, but not a surprise. The character is so well-developed that you already knew. You saw it in his fragileness and his self-doubt, as well as his moments of confidence. The story of his past only confirms what you already suspected.

When you make someone that real? That is fantastic writing.

And, on a side note, the sex was super hot. If you are into that sort of thing. *innocent face*

I've never thought that the cross dressing would be something appealing to me. Okay, confection time: I've never gone deep into it, and this is not the story that would give me the whole picture, but it's a good kick to begin with. I guess Niall' liking wearing women’s lingerie is not everybody’s cup of tea, but I could see clearly why 'armies of lust soldiers run up and down Dan's body' . Truth be told I found our naughty boy and the kinky business to explore to be the strongest presence here. The absolute show stopper was Dan's reaction when he saw for the first time Niall's wearing panties by surprises. Shocked? Disgusted? What a way to find out. I was quite surprised by the second direction which led me the story, the angsty/drama one, especially Niall' worries after the occurrence of a serious turnaround. Being safe is enough , baby, and the vomit doesn’t matter after all! Okay, he tried to explain all of his worries and doubts, but still I failed to get them. Even this tender and sensitive boy needed a little more stamina. Anyway, this is just touches of the whole picture. All in all, it's been a pleasurable weekend read about a beautiful boy(look at the cover. Am I right?), who managed to break free his protective shell he’s been in since he was fourteen. Beg you not to underestimate the desperate, primal, erotic fantasies and fetishes, illuminating across the whole little story.

I beta-read this story, which is how I'm able to give it a rating right away.

Al Stewart is an incredible author with such great talent and humility. He pours himself into his work, and reading it is like bathing in emotion. From flippancy to intense eroticism, frivolous joy and childish delight that in an instant can nosedive into deepest sorrow, a story by this author is not any old reading experience. Rather, it is a manic careen through a narrative that captures the reality of tragedy and suffering, surviving and healing so incredibly, I'm going to have to resort to metaphor to explain.

It is skidding over frozen lakes, hoping the surface doesn't crack and send you plummeting into the deep dark below. And it captures so wonderfully the joy (and glorious sensuality) of realising that when that ice finally breaks, there is someone who will scoop us from those deadly waters and breathe life into us once again.

So, you get all that, plus lots of lovely hot on-page action, a cross-dressing sexy guy with great taste in footwear, a tough, brave alpha male, some hairy, scary moments, and a pretty awesome earworm to boot.

That would be serious bang for the buck if we had to pay for this, but it's free.

Thanks to the author(s) for sharing this story. As a fellow author, I know how terrifying this can be.

I wasn't sure about this one at first, but once I started reading it I wasn't able to stop until it was over.

The sex scenes in this were kinky and hot and I loved them. The couple were also really amazing and I just thought Niall and Dan were really sweet together.

There is a little bit of angst, but nothing too over the top or anything. It actually made the story more enjoyable and it did help the couple strengthen their relationship.

What can I say. I loved it!

The author asked me to beta read. Since they are British, lets pretend it was a composed fangirl moment like this...

Al Stewart has an awe-inspiring talent to put emotion into words and it can be scary sometimes. But then there are those moments when you just melt.

(this is rather confusing to me, I'm not sure if I'm the girl or the boy in this gif...could be either way :D)

And then there are those lovely giggly moments. This book has them all and that to me is a five star book. Plus I must say the sex scenes are incredibly hot but also believable.

I absolutely loved Niall (and the name). Yes, he is a fragile artist type, almost to the point where you almost think it's too much to be believable. But he is perfect. You can tell the writer has put their heart and soul into this character. I wish I could read more about him.

Dan is suppose to be a macho cop but when it comes to Niall, his shell cracks wide open and it is lovely.

I want to say to the author

This was delicious. Loved Niall and Dan together. Each other's opposites but perfect.

Niall and Dan have been together for quite some time and Niall feels likes he's getting closer in letting Dan know all of his secrets. Niall is a dancer and he loves to dress in women's lingerie!! But what would Dan think about all of this? Will Dan reject Niall for what he is?

There’s a lot of badness in this world. Cruelty and darkness and suffering. I like to keep them out with blocks of colour and passion, like lighting a torch the only way I can. When I dance, I feel the music touching my limbs and igniting me, burning away the strains and stains of living. It’s the same with the panties. Just little things, pretty little innocent things that prevent me from being engulfed by blandness and mediocrity.

One night Dan catches him dancing to Billie Jean in his "Sir Lee" undies and I just loved Dan's reaction to it.

I don't usually post the picture that is used as inspiration for this story but I couldn't find any other picture that captures Niall that perfectly!!

I really love this author duo.. I've read some other stories of them and will definitly read more.

This was a delightful story of a budding romance between two men, Niall and Dan.
There is an honesty and naivety in these characters. Niall, now at college, a dancer...but against all odds maybe, as his past is revealed and the once neglected child from a background of poverty now developing as a man but any confidence seems still only skin deep. The underlying insecurities and feeling of inadequacy versus the act of confidence, even bravado really got to me. I taught so many children like this, oh that they would all find themselves, and a reciprocating good relationship.

Niall's love of female sexy lingerie was a delight to read, how he felt when wearing such and the effects when combined with his music and dance...well, I wanted to watch him dance and with undies on too. Something of a Billy Elliot maybe...
Then there's Dan, police officer, very much Niall's opposite in many ways, perhaps still not completely secure in his relationship with Niall...or is he...I felt maybe a red herring to mislead us readers there. He knows the criminal characters he deals with but fails to imprint the dangers to Niall.

I have to say I loved Dan's response to seeing Niall dance, could fully understand Niall's train of thought and fears too, and I loved Dan's acceptance of Niall's kink and how it affected him too.

Oh, this story gave me a range of emotions. It was a plausible storyline and situation between two everyday guys. The sex too was so good.

I had a range of emotions for these characters and situations they experienced, from a tear in my eye, to smile, to fear for them, to hope, to happiness as how it ends.
I realised I cared for them both because they could have been real. It isn't so often I become attached to characters but these I did, perhaps Niall slightly more than Dan. I would love to have had more detail and depth and a longer story here.

I have rated this as 4.5 stars but as any good Maths teacher tells us, round up from that mid point not down.

4.5 stars plus extra credit for a wonderful dedication.

I have to admit that I was nervous reading this. I'd be reviewing a story for a friend, and what would I say if I didn't like it? (I'm super happy and relieved to report that I loved it.) It was exactly what I needed after a really crappy week - it was light, sexy, fierce, and fabulous.

Niall narrates this story in the first person POV, and he's a flamboyant diva with a great sense of humor. He loves his man, he loves his woman's panties, and he loves his shoes. (Here's where I admit I may have licked the prompt picture a time or two). He's confident but vulnerable, and has a wonderfully big heart when it comes to Dan. Dan, the big, tough, police officer, who is a teddy bear on the inside. He's the definition of love in this story. He's protective, encouraging, supportive, and just so sweet that I finished this story wanting more, more, more! of him. That's the downside of first person POV narration sometimes, I missed knowing more about Dan and being in his head.

This was very well written with two very distinct characters. It was fluffy and entertaining, cute and sexy, and all around it made me smile. It's written with - (hyphens) and ! (examination marks) that may bother some, but really worked for me in this story. The bad guy conflict was easy to seem coming, but worked for this story as Niall isn't really the common sense kind of guy, and it helped bring about some much needed talk between the two MCs. I loved the writing style and I think that this writing team work very well together. I look forward to seeing what they put out in the future.

Highly recommended to anyone looking for a light, fun, entertaining, or fabulous read.
My thanks to the author for their time and participation in the loves landscapes event. (And Al - super proud of you hun.)
