⭐️ 5 stars ⭐️
One of my favorite love stories of the year,if not ever.
The unconditional and immortal love Ferenc has for Leof is so beautiful and sad it made my heart hurt for him, while also rooting for their happily ever after.
Lark Taylor had me crying my eyes out on the second page, and can we talk about chapter 12?!
The writing was amazing, I love when I can get lost in the fantasy and the emotions really bleed through you can almost feel them.
The paranormal elements take a bit of a step back in this one, letting the romance stand front and center.
While not being strictly connected, I do feel it’s better to read The Reckless Damned series before reading this one, since it does pick up right after the events of the last of the series. It also helps to know the backstory of the other characters, that are present throughout the book.
Can’t wait for the next one!

Omg I just finished this and I feel the same. I didn’t read the other series although now I’m going to because I loved everyone but I thought the prologue did such a good job of explaining everything that I didn’t need the backstory of everyone else. I think I’ll probably reread this again once I read the others though because it will be even better. I was also crying my eyes out on page 2 and I had no idea who anyone was!
