Industrial Device Control Using Bluetooth: Description

The document discusses using Bluetooth technology to control industrial devices wirelessly. Traditionally, devices have had mechanical controls and intelligence was added during use, but now devices have more built-in intelligence and user interfaces. Bluetooth allows wireless connection to these intelligent devices and access to device data without physical connection. The paper will discuss how Bluetooth can connect devices and some requirements for Bluetooth in industrial device control applications.

INDUSTRIAL DEVICE CONTROL USING BLUETOOTH

ABSTRACT

Traditionally many types of devices have been delivered as mechanical devices

and more or less all of the intelligence and control has been added at each instance of
use. Today there is a growing trend towards a higher level of built-in intelligence in the
devices. This built-in intelligence combined with Internet technology gives us means to
package a user interface as part of the device. With the introduction of the Bluetooth
technology, another dimension is added, the possibility to wirelessly connect to the
devices. The technology makes it possible to easily access the built-in user interfaces
through portable devices but also to access the device data without the need for a
physical connection.

This paper discusses how Bluetooth may be used to connect these devices with
each other. It also describes some specific requirements on the Bluetooth technology
within this area.

Description

Here we are going to do the Bluetooth automation system for the

Industrial devices such as Temparaure sensor, Motor , Load, Etc. In this Project we are
going to use a Remote system (Microcontroller) and a server module to control the
devices and the status of the device will be shown by Visual Basic.
