they support? How do they improve operational efficiency and decision making?
 The kind of applications are described here are mobile application. It
includes calendar, email, contact, management, monitoring and analytical
app, inventory management and applications for document and
presentation customization.
 Apps were included in disscusion with advantages:
o The company’s Transformer Monitoring app:
 Helps manage gas turbine inventory and electronic
transformers throughout the world.
 The ability to zoom in from a global map to a specific
transformer and read all of the key performance indicators.
o A PDS Movement Planner:
 Lets service personnel monitor railway tracks and obtain
diagnostic information on locomotives.
o The Roambi Visualizer app:
 Lets executives use their iPhones to quickly view and analyze
real-time data from their core corporate system.
 Presents managers with simple, intuitive dashboards of
complex data.
o Dow Corning’s Analytics App:

allow for the specialist to immediately deal with the problem whenever and
wherever they are. Through these pieces of technology people can share
business ideas, graphs, inventory, sales, etc. at the touch of a button
anywhere they are.
