Locked out of my Vault for two weeks
Unable to access my vault contents for over two weeks now, engineers “investigating”. Had to swap to another provider as there doesn’t seem to be a great deal of urgency. Paying subscriber too, really disappointed.
Can log in fine but because of a bug, I’m assuming over 200 credentials and OTP codes are gone. I did a backup, that didn’t work either.
Best password manager
I've been using them for a few years and can say that it's best password manager. For me, it's much more useful and convenient compared to 1Password and other. Furthermore, it is FREE, so I don't need to pay for it.
Also, it is 100% open source, which boost trustworthy and prevent sneaky moves. My applauses
Can't get anyone to respond from…
Can't get anyone to respond from customer service, just emails saying they will respond "shortly" been waiting an hour. Reddit representative asked for a ticket number and to DM him, but he has not responded.
Customer service is nonexistent
They deleted my post on the forum for…
They deleted my post on the forum for simply suggesting to fix a bug after I wasted my money on their garbage app. Terrible support, they don't care about their customers.
Totally damn password manager even better experience with other free version
This password manager has been a frustrating experience, even compared to other free versions. The support team was unable to resolve my issues, leaving me extremely dissatisfied with the product. Despite requesting a refund, my request was denied. The app is highly unreliable—when you save your Facebook password and later log in or change it, the app retains both the old and new passwords without properly updating, leading to confusion. Furthermore, when trying to create a new account and generate a password, the app fails to save the generated password. Overall, this app and its customer support have been deeply disappointing.
Easy setup
Easy setup, new to Bitwarden, had it setup on my device and phone quickly.
I like that they synchronize across devices.
I really like how sites can use fill in and or master password then fill in. It fast and no issues.
I keep a backup in my safe of all passwords, never rely on just one source for them.
I am sure Bitdefender is great, but I want backuop as well.
Over all seems to work exactly as it is supposed to.
I have been using Bitwarden for years…
I have been using Bitwarden for years and I'm quite happy with it. Works well on all devices, syncs, easy to organize passwords, open sources. All in all a great product.
Import of large number of passswords impossible
Trying to import passwords from other password managers. Ended up with a lot of duplicates so exported the list from Bitwarden and ran it through a de-duplicator (which Bitwarden does not do). The resulting file is now too big to import back in to Bitwarden. Bitwarden support's response on the issue was terrible.
Can't reset master password
Can't reset master password, so goodbye all saved passwords.
Slows down your browsing
I've used Bitwarden for years, until now I should have left a 5-star review, but in recent months I've noticed a slow down in my browser performance, and it's Bitwarden's extension to the browser.
There's lots of proof if you read GitHub comments, but more notably web editing - Beaver Builder (used by millions) in WordPress is reduced to a crawl because of BitWarden, on reporting it seems to be slightly dismissed.
Weeks gone by, no sign of a fix... so I'm off to try out other password managers.
I'm clad 82% are having a good time
I'm clad 82% are having a good time. For me it is an entire disappointment. Cannot import multiple logins and expect them to work. Cannot use autofill the way I have been used to elsewhere. Instructions are very outdated or at least what I am seeing does not match what they are showing. Have spent multiple hours and including dealing with "support?" just to be sent to outdated instructions. Another password manager bites the dust.
Clear and patient customer support...
I managed to get into a real muddle regarding 2FA when using Bitwarden. Through a series of emails, support person David managed to sort everything out for me in a clear and patient fashion. Top quality customer service!
Total Nightmare to set up
Total Nightmare to set up, you create a master password - then it decides to not accept it and it's 100% the password you just created 2 minutes prior - extension does not work on current password - so secure you can;'t even log in most of the time as Bitwarden has a mind of its own!
Second attempt one month after 1st and still a right FAFF.
A password manager that I use and…
A password manager that I use and recommend. Novice-friendly and very good even in the free version (no blackmailing policies).
For advanced users, I would recommend KeePass, but that is not what I'd call convnient for the "normal" people. :)
Relja
Flexible and user friendly
Great they support open source and self hosting. Platform is very desirable for someone who wants to be OS independent.
Nice reliable password manager
From my experience, Bitwarden is a nice, reliable password manager, and I would recommend it to you. I just use it for private use, and I am satisfied with it. I like it better than anything I have ever used. A nice bonus is that they aren't excessive with ads trying to get you to buy premium.
A Timeless Gem in Security and Open Source
I've been using Bitwarden for many years, and I’m genuinely satisfied with every aspect of it. I rely on all its features — from the desktop and mobile apps to the browser extensions — and they have never let me down. Bitwarden has been a tremendous help in protecting not just my own security, but also in strengthening the security of people everywhere. Its dedication to the open-source community is inspiring, and it’s making a real difference for the safety of individuals and the integrity of our digital world. Without a doubt, this beloved service will remain a timeless icon in the history of security.
Beware Syncing BitWarden Authenticator with BitWarden PassWord Manager
All my authenication codes disapeared from the BitWarden Authenticator App when I synced with the Bitwarden Password Manager (after being prompted to sync by a pop up message the app). The codes didn't go into the password manager & I lost access to all of them. Bitwarden have no live chat which was not ideal, as this meant we had to email back & fouth about the issue ...which took days. In the end support were unable to help anyway.
