Omaze taking double subscription payments !!!
I signed up for a monthly subscription and then noticed duplicate amounts were starting to be taken from my bank account. I cancelled the subscription and reported it to Omaze Customer Service (case no #371423). Their customer service team offered me no real explanation and did nothing to investigate why this had happened even though I sent them copies of the Omaze Subscription transactions and copies of my bank account statements. I’m still waiting for a reply from my last email. Be very careful when signing up to the subscription. Check your bank account regularly to make sure they are not taking more than what you signed up for.

I’ve never entered Omaze but love Cornwall so gave it a go. Easy to follow link and enter.
BEWARE - small prizes result in further unexpected subscriptions
Setup an initial subscription for £10 - however due to a "technical error" they actually took £20. After 6 months a message was received that the subscription was increasing to £15, but they took £30. Did not notice until reviewed credit card statements.
After setting up the subscription I won a "small prize" beware this is actually a voucher £10, but the entry cost £25 therefore had to make a top-up payment to use the "prize" - this actually resulted in a second subscription being setup which was unexpected.
Interestingly won another small prize again and misleading information set this up as another subscription.
Only wanted a £10 subscription per month, but they are aggressive with marketing and subtle use of "small prizes" with hidden setup of further subscriptions. Chasing emails, where the "small prize" expires, all in an attempt to get you onto further subscriptions - would not be allowed under Gambling Commission, loop hole of free entry gets around.
This has now been raised with credit card provider for unauthorised payments taken. In the process of getting refunds issued for the errors and concealed subscriptions setup.
Poorly engineered systems, no doubt built under pressure by their engineering teams...
BEWARE - They are not regulated by the Gambling Commission, appear to fall into a grey area.
Also the number of 5 star reviews on this site is intriguing with multiple reviews coming from the same person with very short 2 line reviews...
IMO lack of integrity, not a great look for a company running a prize draw!
