Review summary

Based on reviews, created with AI

Reviewers had a great experience with this company. Customers appreciate the platform for its user-friendly interface and the convenience it offers in handling documents. People find it efficient for tasks such as filling out forms, adding signatures, and editing PDFs. Reviewers highlight the time-saving aspect, noting that it eliminates the need for printing, manual filling, and scanning. The ability to send forms via email or fax directly from the platform is also well-regarded. However, some consumers have expressed concerns regarding payment and subscription practices. Specifically, a number of reviewers mention unexpected charges after signing up for a free trial. Some people also report difficulties in unsubscribing and feel misled by the company's advertising, which they perceive as not being transparent about costs.

Sebastian hi! $144 is our annual plan, actually. If you were charged already, that means the free trial got expired, sorry to inform you. (The expiration date is actually indicated in the very first, welcome email from us. Sorry if this was not obvious!)
If you did not intend to keep the annual plan and you would like to get a refund (or switch to monthly), please email [email protected]. We'll be with you right away!

The Ultimate "Gotcha" — Avoid pdfFiller at All Costs (Zero stars if I could)

If you enjoy wasting your most precious resource—time—then pdfFiller is the service for you. For everyone else, consider this a warning: This is a textbook bait-and-switch operation.

The trap is simple and infuriating. You search for a way to edit a PDF, and pdfFiller pops up looking like a helpful, streamlined solution. They let you upload your document. They let you spend 20, 30, even 45 minutes meticulously filling out every text box, checking every tiny bubble, and getting everything just right. The interface is smooth enough to lure you into a false sense of productivity.

Then comes the sucker punch.

The moment you click "Done" or "Download," the mask slips. You aren’t met with your completed file; you’re met with a paywall. After you’ve already done all the work, they demand that you create an account and tether yourself to a monthly subscription just to access the document you just spent an hour of your life on.

It is predatory, dishonest, and frankly, a pathetic way to do business. They know that once you’ve invested the time, you’ll feel "held hostage" by the work you’ve already completed. Instead of being transparent about their pricing from the jump, they wait until you’re at your most vulnerable to squeeze a credit card number out of you.

There are dozens of legitimate PDF editors that are either truly free or at least have the decency to tell you they cost money before you start typing.

Don't fall for the trap. Don’t give them your email, and definitely don’t give them your money. This isn’t a service; it’s a digital shakedown.

Our apologies for the confusion incurred, Jon!
pdfFiller is a cloud-based solution, so yes, account registration must have been the very first step, before editing or anything else. Sorry if this was not obvious!
Please note that registering your account is actually free. And once you do that, there is also a 30-day free trial period, prior to any of the paid plans.
