Happy with the service. The engineer was friendly and communicated well.
As per all Stovax/Gazco engineers that have attended my house Tim Smith did a great job. Not only replacing parts but also paying attention to seals etc to ensure the fire would operate efficiently. The fire looked like new after the glass was cleaned thoroughly . Was great to have it working again after the cold spell.

Maybe it's me but I don't think Gazco's customer service is acceptable. Our gas fire is less than 2 years' old and has developed a problem. I contacted Gazco nearly a week ago and was told an engineer would be in touch. The fire is under warranty. Today I emailed again asking when it was likely to happen, pointing out that it is midwinter and it is the primary source of heating in our living room of two late 70 year olds with health issues. The response was a terse "will be in touch at least 2-3 weeks in advance of an appointment being available." That will be a minimum of 4 weeks then without sufficient heating, Can't get anyone else to repair it, of course, as it wil invalidate the warranty.
Update: the power of Trustpilot!! Gazco contacted me today and arranged an urgent engineer visit which resolved our problem. Thanks for pulling out the stops for us Gazco.

After contacting Stovax about a problem with my log fire a visit was arranged and when Shane Bush arrived he found the problem within 5 minutes of opening up the front of the stove. The service engineer ( from a different company ) who replaced the pilot assembly back in June some how managed to bend the plate behind the oxypilot assembly causing the pilot not to ignite.

The engineer (Ray) arrived at the start of the reserved time slot for arrival. The was quick and efficient, checking gas supply and flue. Everything was detailed photographs. Very professional.

Bought a gazco slimeline gas fire just under 2 years ago. 6 weeks ago stopped working - wouldn't start. contacted the customer service as under warranty - eventually passed to the 'service' team, where the advisor has taken constant prompting to arrange anything. Engineer finally came out - identified a loose wiring issue which he said was a manufacturing error (which is never ideal in a gas product), but didn't have the parts to fix it. Was told advisor would contact us promptly - didn't. more chasing and eventually managed to sort a visit out but not for another 9 days. no apologies at any point. The fire is our main heat source in our living room and in freezing conditions and a young family not great. Standards both in manufacturing and aftercare seem to be very poor

We were having a problem with the ignition of our 4 year old Gazco gas fire and had called for an engineer to visit with the fire still under warranty. We had had the fire serviced regularly under our BG contract service. However, when Reza arrived to replace a part, we discovered what a full service really entailed. He did a very thorough job and spent over 2 hours with us and went over all the operations of the fire again. We were very impressed and have arranged an annual service for the future - it’s definitely worth it. Reza was a very hard worker, efficient, pleasant and helpful. We were very pleased with all he had done for us.

I had engineer, Tim Smith here today to fix my Gazco fire. He was very professional and diagnosed the problem and replaced the necessary parts. He did a really good job and the fire is looking better than it did before..

Had an issue with our log burner whereby our supplier had initially made a very good attempt to resolve it but in the end they were excellent in promptly referring the issue to Stovax.
The Fitter named Reza arrived right on time and quickly had our stove stripped, fixed and reassembled.
Reza was a most humble,courteous and knowledgable gentleman and even reassuring, he removed his shoes without even being asked upon entering our newly refurbished Listed little cottage!
Reza is a most wonderful ambassador to Stovax and i am also reassured that Stovax clearly care about their aftersales service. I am very impressed by our dealership at Fireplace-Fitters in Essex from whom we purchased our stove, Stovax themselves and most importanly, Mr Reza.
I strongly recommend them all."

Ray (Engineer) visited to check on our gas fire which we had been told by another service company was unlikely to be repaired economically. Ray identifed two small servce items that had been overlooked and we now have a beautiful gas fire. Thankyou Ray and Stovax Gazco.

Vogue Medi T Eco multi fuel stove.
We bought this stove in October 25 and it was installed on the 26th by a HETAS installer. When we lit the stove properly after the initial smoke test being done I was horrified to see that the paint on the stove had all tarnished. It looked like it had gone rusty! I went back to the shop I purchased from and they agreed this was very unusual and not right. This should not have happened and thought there must be a defect in the paint. We filed a warranty claim with Sovax who are not admitting there is a problem and basically blaming me for the condition of the stove as they say it has been wiped with something. Well it's ridiculous if you can't wipe it to make it look nice and clean with a damp cloth. Ash has a habit of blowing out and landing on it so it never looks clean.
I find Stovaxs reply to be utterly ridiculous. They obviously try to worm their way out of solving problems by blaming the customer. I am furious as this was not a cheap stove and apart from the paint it also is very tricky to refuel without smoke coming into the room. Stovax have not even offered to come out to look at the paint on the stove to ascertain whether there could possibly be a defect in the paint. This is a joke.
They are happy to take your money but don't want to know if there's a problem. I bought a stovax as I thought they were a good reliable company abd they would have good customer service. How wrong can you be.

Your service engineer, Reza, did such a good job on our RIVA2 gas fire. Working hard, cleanly and fully explaining the process. In particular he was so much better than the written manual at explaining how the fire works using the remote control. First class job.

Shane Bush was punctual, knowledgeable and worked out the problem quickly.
He worked to solve the primary issue and even though another problem manifested itself he solved this quickly and installed new parts.
All now seems to be well.
