Online customer Service not acceptable

I ordered 3 new reels , totalling £700 however after waiting for my order to process they informed me they now have delays in delivering. I also paid for a 48 hour delivery which they are now saying they cannot fulfill. I tried calling AD 3x after being in queue for 20 mins each time the call drops with a message no agents available. Dreadful customer service and very poor customer information when ordering.

After failing to reach them yesterday I have finally got through but again the call queuing is not informative or setup to inform customers of delays due high volumes of calls and orders. To me this is the key difference on being a good online retailer. They have areas that are in need of improvement to ensure customer frustration is minimised and this can be simple things, for example using IVR messages and not dropping calls after 20 mins with no way forward.

In the end I was able to resolve this and changed my order to collect in store. Which if their web site had been proactive I would have done at the start.

On a positive note the local stores are excellent and I have found them to be a real positive.

1 star for online and 5 star for the stores hence 3 stars

Very poor after sales I returned a bag…
Very poor after sales I returned a bag for a warranty issue 5 weeks ago still not had any answers I go to the shop week after week the bag is a nash bag cost 170.00 used twice stitching came away returned 5 weeks ago and still nothing

I WILL hand on heart never buy anything of any value from angling direct again I have spent 1000s check my account cbdbybetterdays

After sales is horrendous they need to modernise the policy's every other ship in the land will deal with most things in a timely manner angling direct are not in the slightest interested at all.

Do not buy anything of any value from these people because if you have an issue you will be without your purchase for a number of weeks

Do not trust this company

AD fanatic

I couldn't understand the low score on trust pilot reviews. I have shopped with Angling Direct for quite some time both online and instore. I have given them 5 stars as they have fantastic customer service. Competitive pricing. Speedy, well packaged delivery. Every item from various brands that Anglers could possibly want. Keep it up AD

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service, quick delivery, no problem if you order 1pc something or 10pc.Top store. Definitely buying a gain!! I ordered 3 times. This is 4 time. Thank you best regards from Croatia. 👍🏻😀👏🏻

Do not to buy any large items from this firm. My Carp seat was used once and the front legs fell off!, I tried to AD to replace it, I sent photos which clearly showed a lack of glue but they insisted I packed it up (where do you get that amount of cardboard?) and send it back, wait in all day for a courier. They then would take 15 working days (23 days in reality) or take it to my local store, which for me is 60 mile round trip, £15 of fuel ! Whilst in their store in Sittingbourne a guy came in with a Carp Bed that had a broken leg straight from the box! Their so called Customer Services just sent the same email over and over again . . . insult to injury !

Bought new rod ,couldn't find it…

Bought new rod ,couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else plus free delivery came next day ,well packaged and in excellent condition . Rang for information about tackle ,found them very helpful ,not just trying to sell you everything. Highly recommended.
