Bad experience after purchase.
We bought a bed cost DK 21749 with fitting charge DKK 800. We received the bed on the same day as we requested but they couldn’t bring the headboard up to first floor; they said the pathway is small and there is no way they could bring it up. As I was busy with the moving stuff, I did not see whether they even tried to bring it up but just trust them (thinking they are professionals). So we thought we will ask for any alternative solutions from the store afterwards and requested them to take it back. However, things were different, we were told that headboard neither can be exchanged with smaller headboard nor they give us a money back as it was included with the bed. After hearing this, we decided to have a look again and we discovered the headbord could actually be separated into two parts, but to be sure we requested sales person to confirm with a company, but we were met with a firm “NO”. As we were getting nothing we anyway decided to give it a try. But interestingly sales person asked me to sign the paper to take a responsibilities which did not make any sense; anyway I had to either take it or throw it right? Eventually, we managed to make it into two parts and brought it home, It was quite hard for me and my wife to fix the headboard as it was heavy. We thought Drømmeland is reputed store and we will get a good assistance but it was completely opposite, they let us down. They did not even try a bit to help but just gave cold NO every time. I regret paying DK 800 for fitting, as we had to do much of the work ourselves.

I bought an adjustable bed from Drømmeland in July 2025 for nearly DKK 21,000.
Shortly after delivery, the base broke under normal use. Instead of replacing the bed, they only offered a “repair” by removing part of the base.
I gave them clear deadlines, but they ignored me. I have now filed a complaint with the Danish Consumer Complaints Board.
Very disappointing customer service for such an expensive product.

Thank you for your response. However, I would like to clarify a few important points:
While I understand that the company may legally offer a repair or replacement as a first step, in my case the proposed “repair” was not a real solution. Removing part of the bed base would not have left me with a functional bed and removing parts from a NEW bed does not equal a "repair" or legally comply with the law.
It was only after I escalated the case to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board that Drømmeland finally offered to take the bed back and agreed to refund me but the case is not yet closed, not until the money is back on my account.
This experience has been extremely stressful, and I do not consider it “a more than fair outcome” as suggested. The refund is simply what I was legally entitled to from the beginning.

We purchased a bed and other items worth 57,000 DKK from Drømmeland, trusting the brand for its professionalism and reliability. While the sales assistant who helped us in-store was truly kind and helpful – she deserves praise – the rest of the experience, especially with the customer service led by the store’s team leader, has been deeply frustrating and unacceptable.
Delivery was scheduled for May 30th. Drømmeland only provides a time slot between 8:00 and 16:00, with a message sent one hour before arrival. Since we haven’t moved into the new apartment yet, we planned to go there as soon as we received the message. I was on my way when I received it, expecting a call upon arrival – but no one called.
Instead, the delivery team handed the items over to a painter who happened to be at the apartment. He had keys to carry out work, but was not authorized to receive or sign anything. They had him sign in my place and did not complete the assembly, even though it was paid for. (Apparently, the painter told them it couldn’t be done due to his presence – which is absurd.)
I was understandably upset with the painter, but I then contacted the Drømmeland Ishøj store to explain and simply reschedule the assembly. That’s when I encountered one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever had. A man named G. answered the phone and yelled at me throughout the entire call. I calmly explained the situation: that I had come as quickly as possible after the message, that they should have called upon arrival, and that they shouldn’t have let someone else sign on my behalf. I wasn’t asking for a refund – just to reschedule the assembly.
G. called back angrily, saying the only possible date was Tuesday, June 3. I had minor surgery that day, so I called the store again on Monday ( the day before)to reschedule. I spoke to the same kind sales assistant, who said it was no problem and we agreed on June 6. I even received a confirmation message.
But on June 3, while I was in the hospital, someone from the delivery team still came to my apartment. I explained the appointment had been cancelled, and he replied he knew, but had been sent anyway. Later I understood why: someone had cancelled the June 6 appointment and still sent someone on June 3.
On June 6, I stayed home from 8 to 16 – took another day off work – but no one came. I called the store again mid-morning and G. answered. He said nothing was scheduled in the system but added that if I had received the confirmation message, someone would likely come. Of course, no one did.
When I called again for clarification, I politely asked about speaking to the sales assistant I had originally dealt with. G. started shouting again, claiming no such conversation had taken place, since he was the only one working that day. I asked him to lower his voice and reminded him that this level of aggression was unacceptable.
Eventually, my partner – who speaks Danish – accompanied me to the store to speak in person. But again, instead of helping, G. was loud, dismissive, and blamed us for everything. No apology, no solution. He gave us the number of the delivery manager and told us to handle it ourselves.
Thankfully, the delivery manager was professional and helpful. He immediately rescheduled the assembly. He also confirmed that someone from the store had cancelled the June 6 appointment and still sent someone on June 3. If G. was the only one working that day, like he said, it’s quite clear who was responsible.
After spending 57,000 DKK, I never expected to be treated this way. Actually, also the one spending even 50DKK should be treated this way. If it weren’t for the quality of the products, I would have returned everything. G’s behavior is completely inappropriate and does not reflect the standards one would expect from Drømmeland. Shouting at customers, refusing to listen, and creating confusion around appointments is not acceptable. He is a discredit to the brand and should not be in a leadership position.
On the other hand, I want to sincerely thank the kind sales assistant – unfortunately, I don’t know her name – for her professionalism and support. If anyone deserves to manage that store, it’s her.
I understand that unexpected situations can happen – sometimes a customer might miss a delivery, and sometimes a store might make a mistake with scheduling. These things are part of life. What truly matters is how you handle those situations. Professionalism, respect, and a willingness to help are the basics of good customer service. Unfortunately, that was completely missing here. Instead of support, I received shouting, accusations, and poor communication.
I will not shop at Drømmeland again, and I sincerely hope this feedback is taken seriously.

I have very bad back problems for many years. I tried to have a good madras from the shop . He is very thoughtful and very professional and very helpful for helping me change the madras until I get the right madras. I really appreciate his service. And I am the most trouble customer. But I have no complaints but Trust this shop because they have such amazing people work in the shop.

I am very unhappy with the service I received at the Kolding department. It was a lot of chaos and mis-management for my order. While my order included a full bed package with everything listed in detail in my purchase list, they made me wait for my duvet, duvet cover, mattress cover and pillow covers for two entire months. They asked me to go to the store several times for clarification of what my order included and I did so. They postponed the delivery date 4 times and in the end, just one day before the delivery, they called and said there is some misunderstandings with them regarding my order. Finally, after a long session of calling different colleagues to see what the hell has happened to my order, I had to cancel these things to not get more headaches. I am happy with the bed itself as I chose it with careful considerations; but the service I received definitely deserves a Zero-Star evaluation. So, I do not recommend them at all!
We went to physical shop in Århus and got all info we needed about bed . Bahoz gives THE BEST customer service.

We have been in Ishøj now to buy a bed. The seller ignored us so badly. We waited 15min but he even didn’t ask what we want. We left the shop but we are wondered how bad a service could be in a shop suppose to sell quality beds. The seller should behave differently. They lost a customer that suppose to pay around 30k kr. With bad customer service and ignoring attitude.
Comfortable bed and good service with staff moving the bed components to my apartment.
