Don’t repeat my mistake and don’t trust Interhome. I booked an apartment in the Swiss Alps. I paid for it, arranged flights for my family etc. We were supposed to arrive on the 7th of January. On the 1st i got a email from owners telling me that they cancel my booking because Interhome set the price wrong and didn’t respond to their messages. They also told me to book via another platform. I was shocked as i already paid and got confirmation emails & check-in details from Interhome some weeks ago. So i sent them an email explaining what happened and asked them to sort it out directly with the owner. Fun fact - price difference between interhome and booking.com was only 40€. So insanely rude to cause me so much stress just to earn extra 40€! I mean also the owners of the property… But i was still hoping that Interhome would deal with it properly. I believed mostly good reviews that i read online. Sadly NO. On the 5th of January = 2 days before check-in date they just sent me a generic email saying my booking was cancelled. No apologies. No explanation what caused it. This was TWO days before we are due to travel. They offered an alternative accommodation. NOTHING. And the refund obviously hasn’t arrived yet. One of the worst experiences with accommodation booking that I’ve ever had. So please AVOID and use other platforms instead. Don’t let them ruin your holidays as they did with ours forcing us to come up with alternative arrangements 2 days before start of holidays. Never again interhome.

Unfair handling of refund request due to their own delay
Finger weg!! I booked a property through Interhome (via Airbnb) and contacted them on July 7 with a very simple question about the number of guests, since our group size had changed (one additional child (age 6).
They responded to my question 15 days later!!! After the full refund deadline had already passed.
Because of their delay, I missed the chance to cancel in time — yet they only offered me a 50% refund.
This situation was entirely caused by their lack of timely communication, not by me.
Despite clearly showing the message timeline, they refused to take responsibility and blamed the refund policy instead.
I contacted Airbnb, who is now reviewing the case, but Interhome’s behavior so far has been disappointing and unprofessional.
Customers should not be penalized for something that is clearly not their fault.
This qualifies as service failure and negligent handling of time-sensitive information.
Updated (24.07.2025 18:30) : I am updating my review to share the latest developments regarding my case with Interhome:
1. After I requested a cancellation and full refund for my booking (due to Interhome’s delayed response), i received this message.:
-Interhome refused to cancel the booking themselves, citing host fees, and also stated they will no longer respond to any further inquiries.-
This, in my opinion, shows a clear lack of responsibility.
2. After Interhome responded publicly to my initial Trustpilot review, I followed up with a formal email, including screenshots and the full timeline of our Airbnb message history. I outlined how their delay caused me to lose the right to cancel for a full refund.
3. I have also opened a support ticket with Airbnb. Their team confirmed that they are in contact with Interhome and still reviewing the case.
I will continue updating this review with all further developments, as I believe transparency helps protect future guests.

They cancelled my booking, then tried to rebook it 3 days later and charge me
Rented a property from Interhome through VRBO. No response to emails (we had a couple of questions). Then a month after booking, received a cancellation and a note that I'd get a full refund. Called Interhome - no answer. Emailed - no response. Called VRBO who told me Interhome had cancelled; so booked alternative accommodation (with a different company).
3 days later I was sent a new confirmation from Interhome saying my booking was confirmed (although it had changed - for example it originally was 2 adults and 2 children, and this new one was for 4 adults). No response again, but after an hour VRBO were able to connect me to Interhome. It seems that VRBO and Interhome have a poor relationship, and so something had happened where Interhome were supposedly told to cancel and rebook. I understand they were frustrated, but they were incredibly rude, and repeatedly insulted me whilst saying they didn't care, and that they would be taking the rest of the balance from my credit card. I did not want to have to deal with Interhome (that's why I used a company like VRBO), so it was a really horrible experience - as well as very stressful as we thought our family holiday would be ruined.
Eventually, Interhome agreed to refund me, but even that took nearly 3 weeks (despite them saying it would be 5 days).

I sent an email to interhome asking if the apartment in Benidorm had a walk in shower as my wife who is 83 has Parkinson’s and cannot get into a bath they assured me by email that it was in fact a walk in shower, that was a lie , we would have cancelled our holiday if we had known it was a bath. I have asked the owners for a refund. Also the tv had no uk, I Sent the email on the 12th of July, their is no internet also.

We rented a house in Tuscany in summer 2023 through Campaya, which cooperates with the international company Interhome. We arrived to a dirty house, a disgusting useless pool with algae and missing umbrellas and a threatening host :-( The host was very rude and we felt uncomfortable being there. We received very poor help from both companies despite long and several phone calls. Only because we wanted to make the most of the last part of our holiday, we paid for another location for the last 5 days of the holiday, but only received DKK 7,000 in reimbursement of the DKK 23,000 the house cost.

Interhome is extremely professional and communicative
I originally booked a vacation home managed by Interhome in Moltrasio, Italy, through their booking agent VRBO. Interhome kindly and responsibly appreciated my detailed correspondence with them and VRBO. With utmost professionalism, they returned my deposit once they had booked that same vacation home in Moltrasio. I recommend them highly and will look to use Interhome again when we travel abroad. Don’t trust Interhome
Don’t trust Interhome. I rented an apartment in February for a family holiday in July in Biarritz. I paid for it, arranged flights etc. Yesterday they sent me a email saying my booking was cancelled. No reason given. This is four days before we are due to travel. They offered an alternative which is unsuitable for my wife, who is disabled. I can honestly say in my 72 years I have not need so badly treated by any other organization.

Key collection and drop off a long way from accommodation
I recently stayed at Terra Lossa Les Houches. Key collection is in Chamonix which is a 30 minutes round trip away by car. The keys have to be dropped off at the same office on checkout. In addition to this you have to return bed linen and towels to the same office. The latter was extremely difficult for us. We had to leave some of our party with luggage and skis in les Houches outside the apartment whilst we took a taxi to drop off the keys, linen and bags. This was over 30 minutes round trip. This was not stated on any site at the time of booking. We did get an email after booking explaining the key collection but by this time it is too late to cancel and there was no mention about the return of towels and bed linen.

Terrible first night - Avoid!
We had a lot of problems upon arrival at the Interhome-managed apartment, Le Charmoz (Chamonix, France) - no hot water (first night), no duvet for one bed (we had to go and buy one or freeze!), television did not work, parking was not on the premises (when the Airbnb website said it would be), unresponsive and uncaring host (no apology or compensation offered). There were also issues with the cleanliness - my husband found a pill (medicine) on the floor by the bed! Our recommendation is to AVOID INTERHOME!!!
Update. We recieved a small reimbursement via Airbnb (after a lot of back and forth and a big hassle) and still no apology from the local hosts who refuse to take responsibility and who were more focused on telling us that they won't compensate for the duvet we had to purchase). If they had taken responsibility on day two and offered fair compensation we would have been happy. To have to fight for this very small compensation for over a week (and it is only because we booked via Airbnb that we got anything) ... not great!

Complete scam!
I booked a chalet in Austria hosted by ”ALPS RESORTS” through Interhome,
When I arrived I found out that the chalet is completely DIFFERENT from the pictures on the website.. and this wasn’t the only issue; the furniture was so old and dirty, the dining table was about to collapse,, the beds had bugs in them, and the kitchenware were all old and dirty; we had to wash every single thing before using and some of them weren’t cleanable.. the washer was dirty and unusable..
In conclusion, the chalet was UNLIVABLE.
After contacting the customer service at Interhome, they told me that I should speak with the “ALPS RESORT” team first, and I did, but didn’t get any assistance by them.. and Interhome didn’t try to help at all.
DO NOT USE INTERHOME!
