Stitch has been a great resource for me to meet new people and host and join fun activities. The site is much more effective than Meetup for finding and joining activities. It is very well managed, much better than dating sites, because they are more responsible and proactive about preventing fake profiles and scammers.

Stitch is a great place to make connections and stay socially connected. I am homebound and have no support system. If I didn't have my Stitch family I wouldn't have a reason to get up. Honestly, that's how important Stitch is to my well being

Stitch is a great idea, social networking for people over 50. It’s pretty well executed, there are plenty of activities of great variety that create opportunities to meet people & make friends, I have been bushwalking in locations that I did not know existed, I have been to breakfasts, lunches, dinners & shows in the three months since I became a member oh & dancing lessons too ! I recommend it if you’re feeling a little isolated, as I was, there is a lot of fun to be had !

I like the way the app is designed for privacy, and the mute option

This company processes refund without the client consent. If you email them they don't get back or answer you . They refuse service without telling a reason
Meanwhile u can still share your personal details in the company. Shouldn't be allowed
Their verification process is funny . You have take a picture of yourself with the code. Getting Personal.
Edit- they should get back to people emails and make it clear why they are processing refunds in the first place . Not cut them off after one shares their personal details with this company. Yuk. There is no attempt for safety problem. They just wont admit it they just have mediocre people with a poor service.

Oh, I have been having a ball on Stitch. It is now almost my 1st anniversary being on Stitch come March. Actually, I have only really been active with it the past 8 months. I got off to a slow start because no one was posting activities near me. They were all out in the county where they were inaccessible to me by public transportation. Then I heard about the discussions. I joined 8 in one week and even moderated two of my own. I didn't want to be a paid member because there weren't any activities for me to join but I was getting so much out of the discussions that I wanted to donate something. That's when I learned about becoming a pioneer volunteer. I did that for four months. I continued posting activities past the time that I volunteered. I average two monthly. A dinner party and a Games'Night at least every month. This month I took folks to listen to opera arias, too, along with another dinner party beforehand.
This month, I am cohosting a games day with a Stitcher in the county. A friend will transport me there. This same friend comes to visit me twice weekly from Annapolis and some days i travel down there. Mostly, he takes me on errands for myself and to help out other friends with their errands and groceries. Today we went to several stores trying to track down a particular brand of chocolate chip cookies and window shopped in a mall. We have become very close so much so we have formed a loving platonic bond of trust and friendship.
In October, I will be helping a Stitcher with her bucket list wish by accompanying her to Australia. I have an Australian pen pal who will be acting as our tour guide while we are there. I have made the acquaintance of several Australian stitchers long distance who have been instrumental in giving us travel tips and I hope to meet them as well.
All in all, I have gotten more out of Stitch than I could have imagined.

Too many Coffee and Cake events. Members need to be more creative. Others should not constantly repeat events
