it’s strange with how often the bg3 fandom discusses grooming and sexual power dynamics that wyll is skipped over so frequently. his dynamic with mizora and her coercion and control over him is pretty explicitly sexualized. she calls him “pet”, “naughty boy”, takes his physical autonomy, alters his body without consent, and delights in publicly humiliating him. she had unfettered access to him from the age of seventeen, when he was recently maimed, disowned, and banished. he is the only companion whose abuse is actively ongoing during the game’s events, and whose abuser still has constant access to him. but he rarely gets the kind of attention or analysis of trauma as other companions.
its an interesting look, I think, into what we see and validate as victimhood.
