How i got into the void state in only 5 minutes: the zone out technique.
So a lot of people have been asking for the method so here it is.
Disclaimer: i don't know if there's already a method like this. this is just what worked for me but if there is, shout out to the creator!!
Preferably do this at a time where you're less likely to fall asleep. I did this in the afternoon.
1. Sit up/lay down or sit up while slightly laying back (idk how to explain but hopefully it makes sense) i was sitting on my bed and the bed frame is low so i lay my head back on it but i was still sitting up. Basically make it so that you're comfortable but not comfortable enough to fall asleep.
2. Zone out. Unfocus your eyes and stare at a certain point anywhere until your vision is blurry and your mind is blank/thoughts are quiet.
3. After you feel calm, close your eyes and just... relax. Continue zoning out even after you close your eyes. Enjoy the peace. Don't think about the void. This is the end goal. Just do this for a while. And even if your thoughts are loud or you are thinking, it's okay. No pressure just remember that. Observe your thoughts but don't necessarily engage. It comes naturally after a bit.
4. You'll soon notice that you can't feel your body and that it's very peaceful. Then you'll just know. Don't look for the signs, just let it come to you.
That's it! You can adjust any part of the steps to fit you and just remember: relax. you're doing everything right. Your only job is to let it come to you.
