Update from me! If you follow me on instagram as well you may know I've been pretty sick ever since the new year started pretty much. I am slowly making my recovery though 😴 This is an Ed sketch I made on one of my worst days, 'cause I simply gotta make something to keep me sane haha

I'm animating again and it's going really well. And dreaming of everything I wanna make (TEG season 2 finale TEGS2Finale TEGS2Finale, there is more but just in particular lol)

And thinking of the cool stuff that's coming out this year like Deltarune chapter 5, the Super Mario Galaxy Movie, Steel Ball Run aaaahhhh

I'm sorry for the more negative post here, I would much rather be sharing fun art and stuff but the recent update to my animation app is dragging me down

Normally it would just fill colour like on the left, but now when I use the same fill tool it becomes like the one on the right. This does not look good and now I have to manually fill in all the gaps it has left behind

I am desperately looking for a fix but I have not found anything. There is no other way than to manually fix everything, which takes me a lot of time.

Update: I sent a bug report and they responded they'd look into it(?) So fingers crossed 🤞

Well the app I use to animate just had an update...

Genuinely this just makes my work way harder and I hate it. They better realize their mistake and re-update or whatever or else

So I'm not sure if you've seen this post I made on Youtube, but I can no longer ship merch to the US anymore. Basically with all the new rules, taxes and whatnot it's just not feasible at the moment.

It's really unfortunate, 'cause I was working out some new merch ideas like the plushees but a lot of it is on hold now. I hope things change back to how they used to be, but I'm not very positive

That's right! Episode! I have previously referred to it as a 'special' or 'Halloween special' but I have decided to turn it into an episode

Reasons being that 1. there is lore in the episode that is important to the series as a whole and 2. there are also plotpoints brought up that are relevant, so calling it a 'special' didn't feel right. When I think of a special, I usually think of a more 'standalone' story, which is not what this is

Also, it is over 15 minutes long, so it's the length of an average TEG episode lol

So yeah I hope you'll look forward to episode 7 of The Earth Guy!

Heya got a question for you

I usually post on a sunday, but friday is Halloween. I'm not sure whether people would watch on Halloween itself though... let me know you're thoughts!

Was writing some more worldbuilding and thinking how The Earth Guy really is a fantasy series and putting sci-fi as a genre just doesn't feel right. Like there is some futuristic things sure, but magic is a huge component. The reason characters like Scarella are even alive is because magic exists in this universe. Faster than light travel to other galaxies is possible because magic exists. This is a supernatural universe.

Not to fall into the trap of answering every question with 'because magic', but it is a very important cog in the worldbuilding machine so to speak. I'm gonna talk about it in some episode in the future (and I will possibly yap about it more on Patreon)

And I gotta make a big timeline for myself to keep track of all the events lol, I keep asking myself 'wait what when was that again?' so I really need it haha

I'm doing okay, still kinda sad I lost my job, but I'm going to get another degree so I'll have more options for a new position hopefully.

The series is doing well too. I'll admit though it may have all been just a bit too ambitious for just me (the musical that is), but I've come far so I'm determined to complete it. It'll take a bit longer than usual, but that's why I have the Halloween special to put in between ep6 and ep7.

Heya everyone!

I don't have any art right now to share. I just came home from a little holiday with friends.

It's been pretty tough. I recently lost my day job/the job I had next to my youtube animator job. Long story short, I was made a lot of promises that were not kept and I'm still very disappointed. I now have to look for a new job which I'm not happy about, but I have a lot of support around me (and my amazing patreons) so I ultimately can't complain. It could be much worse. Still, I will miss my job, 'cause it was easy to combine with my youtube job and it will be hard to find one to replace it. Still I hope I can find one. I'm gonna try my best and continue to create The Earth Guy.

Hey! Another update from me!

I had a migraine attack yesterday that was quite unnerving to be honest. I think my fatigue and stress have contributed to it a lot. Irl I am having to look for a new job now that I'll (probably) have to quit my current one and these developments have been keeping me up. Makes me wish youtube could make a decent living but that's not realistic for me I'm afraid, so I'll have to find something for me to do next. Anyways, wish me luck I guess. Hope I'll land a job somewhere...

Meanwhile I am of course still working on the next episode of TEG. It is absolutely coming out nexr month and I do look forward to it

Good news: I've nearly finished my exclusive video in which I'll share my concept art of the cast (which I have never shared with anyone before!)

Also!

- I don't know if I mentioned this all before or not, but I'm gonna make another holiday special episode again! (Longer than the Christmas special)

- Season 1 will be 10 episodes long (+ the holiday episode). Most likely episode 10 will be an extra long episode to fit all the events happening. And after that...hopefully season 2 ✨️

So my voice problems are still ongoing, it has been like this for months now. I really hope I can get at least one good day on which I can record lines for the episode but I'm kinda stressed about it. Someone wrote about how much they hated my voice a while ago and it made me feel even worse (I know you shouldn't let comments like that get to you, but it was a stinger). I really hope I can get my voice back. If it really won't happen, I'm gonna have to get someone to replace me... which.. I'd rather not because that means paying someone for the job but I also enjoy voicing my characters, so I hope to continue

Anyways, that's all. Hoping for the best

I'm doing recordings for a video (for future channel members to see hopefully 🤞) but I have no idea how to speak anymore lol, and somehow I have throat pains again (only the 4th time in 3 months). But I got one take of everything! And I hope my voice is not to grating 🙊
