update from the discord group courtesy of one of my mutuals;
do not trust that damned survey. change your discord password. utilize 2FA.
I use 2FA on every website I log into, and it didn't ask for any details when I took the survey, but I still don't trust that thing at all. One can never be too safe.
to be clear, the one that is a scam is the one that asks for your Discord login information. there is a legitimate one that does not ask for ANY information and that one is a legitimate qualtrics survey from Discord. make sure you always check sites and links before you click on them fellas!
The legit survey has been closed down as of yesterday.
The phishing scam is taking advantage of the high emotions about AI, but if anything online asks for your login info (that is not on the actual verified website that belongs to that login that you navigated to yourself (not a link from an email or post!)), that is a huge sign to STOP.
In addition to that last comment, companies just don't need your credentials for anything other than the service itself. They sure as heck don't care about it for a survey.

hi guys! discord is doing a survey on how people would like ai to be integrated into discord. take it and say fuck no to every question. when you get to "in general, how do you feel about discord inegrating ai features?", respond that you would actively get everyone you know off of discord and wouldn't pay for nitro or other shop items if they added ai features.
watch out for the trap! there's ONE QUESTION where the last option *isn't* the max 'no AI' option, read each part carefully to be sure
There's a part where you can add additional thoughts. I put something like this:
Large Language Models have potential good uses, but currently none of them are being used that way. Instead they're being used to generate slop at the expense of jobs, the economy, and the environment. LLMs drive up the price of consumer computer parts and use up the water supply of nearby communities. There is no place for AI in Discord.
I specified LLMs because those are where the problem is, and some of the functions mentioned in this survey are actually standard, not-LLM bot functions. But there's a trend among companies to call everything AI regardless of how it works, and it needs to stop. If companies get enough feedback about the difference, they'll realize that people don't want the slop makers but are fine with the simple, reliable old search functions.

#each eye is really different from the other so they don't work together#I can't see properly without glasses even up close#but if I keep them on when making pins or crocheting my eyes hurt#so even though I can't see as well I take my glasses off for those things#I do have weaker glasses I can use for up close but only for short periods#I only use those for work#I don't really need to see every fiber when I'm crocheting
