spits a rise leatherhead concept at you, ive been working on this for a few months thats why theres a difference in art

he was always my fave other mutant so i wanted to put him in rise, he fights in the battle nexus (theres no way big mama doesnt start that back up, she still controls most of the underground) and the turtles meet him a bit after the movie (when raph is 18 or so leo 17 etc, i think leatherhead would be about 19 or so, still pretty young like them)

in this concept, leatherhead was one of draxums experiments right before he made the final adjustments to create the turtles (and before he had splinters dna). he doesnt heal as fast as them, and he has the same feral outbursts of anger he does in the other shows due to the mutagen still needing tweaks (and the collar big mama has on him makes them worse). singing is his true passion.

id be cool if raph and him could bond over being ashamed of having 'savage' outbursts sometimes, and if it makes mikey confront some of the more heinous and life ruining things draxum did to create them. also donnie finally gets a friend to geek out with abt tech. and leo also is here (hes kind of relishing in stealing from big mama again 'just like old times')

cultural appropriation is definitely not the correct term for it but i genuinely GENUINELY feel something like that when people associate capybaras with Japan, I know that this is probably cus south America has overall very little influence on like general worldwide culture or what not but it is infuriating how their actual native region doesn't even show up on the suggested search.

and how so many "cute capybara art" is them in Japanese hot springs under cherry blossom drinking macha or some shit. it pisses me off . carpinchos/ capybaras are native to south america.
