[bravely] i like it when the smaller one tops
Today's aesthetic: fic that spends several thousand words establishing Kink World, the world structured entirely around the author's excruciatingly specific kink, does one sex scene in like chapter two, then spends the next thirty chapters interrogating the sociopolitical implications of Kink World.
she lets me hit because she hasnt memorized my attack patterns
modern aus that make sasuke a goth are always correct but i do have to disagree when they make naruto a jock. Like no my friend, that is a skater punk
Like early 2000s nu-metal style fits him very well. Boy is absolutely blastin Linkin Park while also dressing similar
I’ve decided that all bats fall somewhere on this horrid little graph I’ve devised. Here are some prime examples of the various Creature Varieties found in nature.
Finally made a Pokémon version of this
Cis people think trans people have this:
- Deadname
- Chosen name
But honestly we really have:
- Name
- Other name
- Deadname
- Business name
- Old nickname only some people have rights to use
- Online name
- Extra special secret name you don’t get to know, unless… ;)
The realization that you are not confined to one name really breaks down a lot of barriers that people who don't have to do it never realize are there.
many people know loons from heated rivalry, but now laser loon is the symbol of the resistance here
I feel like it’s important to note that this isn’t an animation, it’s an old physics-based game called line rider. Which makes it even more impressive.
This one makes really clever use of the framerate.
so i go to a fuckass liberal arts college and i work at the art museum right. we recently got a yves klein piece and besides being an absolute bad bitch at judo he's mostly known for Blue. like Blue, as in he created International Klein Blue (IKB) (most blue to ever blue). this is his main thing. so we got his piece in the mail and it was flaking so we had to call in the klein foundation's restoration person and she pulls up, mixes this patented color, and sprays the flaky bits of the sculpture. beautiful wonderful it is fixed, but she has some extra left over. so very kindly she turns to the staff and goes, "does anyone have something they want me to paint." and one guy fucking lights up and with the world's most evil glimmer in his eye he asks, "will you paint my labubu." and that motherfucker, she says YES. so now. in the mueseum. in an office. in or someone's house. theres a fucking genuine klein blue labubu.
CALL IT A LABLUBLU
My mom just told me when was my age she got pregnant while she had two different fwb situations going on and didn’t know who the dad was so she went to the guys separately and said “I’ll pay for half the abortion if you pay half” and collected half the money from each guy . Her mind
Ways Deltarune can conceivably have only one ending in spite of the Weird Route diverging so wildly, in ascending order of Fuckery:
- The two routes somehow converge after a certain point
- The Weird Route dead ends in a developer-intended softlock
- The planned ending is such a huge non sequitur that it genuinely won't matter what you've done up to that point
- The game's final shot is live-action FMV of Toby Fox waking up and saying "wow, what a weird dream"
- Sans shows up and kills everyone
- Roguelike mode
Cemeteries are not wastes of space. Historical cemeteries ESPECIALLY are not wastes of space. The fact developers are continuously foaming at the mouth to destroy them and put a strip mall up in their place should make you even more determined to help maintain them. In urban areas, they are a haven for wildlife. They are a green space. If you are too afraid of death to utilize them for that purpose, that is on you.
Thank you. Historically cemeteries were treated as parks, and it wasn't uncommon to see people not only enjoying the grounds but actually playing games and having picnics there. Somewhere along the line we decided that these activities were inappropriate and that cemeteries were off limits and now people see them as wasted space because they feel too awkward to enjoy them.
They're not only beautiful green spaces but excellent public displays of history and art history, and if you care to look closely you can find out a lot just by studying stones.
For example- notice how few modern headstones are dedicated to young children versus the ones erected before vaccines were widespread.
The cemetery near here has the state's largest silver maple crowning its grounds. Many of the trees in older cemeteries are some of the largest and oldest trees in an area.
Cemeteries are for the living, not the dead. Enjoy them. Go birdwatching in them. Don't be stupid in them sure but don't be too afraid to touch them either.
And for the love of God don't mindlessly support turning them into parking lots and ""luxury"" condos.
I’ve been asked to volunteer some time to speak on local crime as a person with experience in Security and depending on what they’re expecting they’re either gonna love it or hate it, I can see no middle ground
P much all crime is a convergence of means, motive, and opportunity, ime, and it’s impossible to eliminate means, which leads me to think that all we can actually DO to “stop” crime is reduce motive and reduce opportunity.
If a community can tackle Reducing Motives- offering safe distribution sites, shelter, food pantries, mental health, clothing, education, outreach, etc
And private businesses and individuals take responsibility for Reducing Opportunity- hiring ACTUAL security, training staff, maintaining equipment, locking doors, not leaving valuables unattended, etc
Then that’s just. Most Crime
But everyone WANTS to just “lock up the bad apples so the streets are safe for the normal people” and that’s not….. Anything, actually
Think of crime as an ecological niche, if you empty it, it will get filled, if you make the niche unviable, it will be vacated willingly.
I have to confess "your web browser's assistive AI can be instructed to steal your online banking password via prompt injection because it operates with full privileges and treats all text it ingests as equally authoritative sources of user instructions, including the text of web pages it's summarising" is more surprising to me than it should have been. There really is no one involved at any point in the development of these tools who actually understands what they're doing, huh?
