They ghosted me for days when I reached out so I took the day off work because I don't trust them not to tear up my house and I didn't have anywhere safe to stash the cat where she could stay from 11 am to 10 pm.

And then of course we have Stede who wanted to be captain so bad he paid his way in

And Izzy who wanted to be captain so bad that the only way to placate him was to promise he could be captain and who had a tantrum when Ed didn't kill Stede in order to retire and leave Izzy the captaincy like he said he was going to, a tantrum which lasted 4 episodes and almost got stede killed twice and everyone involved killed once:

sometimes i am hit with a wave of how much i love ed because i LOVE ed like. wow. edward teach is genuinely my favorite, ed is my baby girl, like stede might be my blorbo but ed is my baby girl, my angel, i love him, so much, like. his narrative arc? his ennui? his despair and his frustration and his hope and the way he throws himself into a new life but keeps a door open to the old one because he can't trust good things, they have come to him so rarely, but then he *does*, he throws it all in, he gives it all up to be with stede and it all goes so terribly wrong and he STILL tries so hard but finally gives in to his despair and his anger and his paranoia and he hurts people and hurts himself second most of all -

i need season 2. i need to know. that ed is going to be okay.
