maybe the real mike pov is the gay awakenings the audience had along the way
Fuck it, reverse it. Mike dressing like his dad means Ted Wheeler is a closeted gay man. Run with it.
and ive been saying this for years now bc how could you NOT love Karen Wheeler
tbf i kept thinking about that while watching the play, those two are so not straight in my mind, especially karen and the fact that they spent all their time together as teens making out just like mike and jane? peak
oh we're too much noise?
yeah i think we showed you noise.
couldn't find time... boy they just didn't wanna be in ts
They're doing a bangup job making people want to watch this thing.
Historians would call them roommates, the Duffers would say it happened off screen
maya hawke is the person who tried to pitch ronance to the duffers, of course she's a byler. she knows a good pairing when she sees it.
it’s genuinely so heartwarming to see the audience’s reaction to byler as well as jimmy fallon clearly being such a huge advocate for byler making sure they’re put under “the cutest couple that never was” no matter what
it’s just proof that there would’ve been so much more love in comparison to the hate and controversy stranger things would’ve received if they just followed through on byler
liked my own thoughts on the recent developments in regards to the Stranger Things S5 finale and conformitygate in these tags, so decided to make it a separate post lol
most of us already have a messed up relationship with the holidays and you made it even worse, not to mention ruining it for the people having a good time as well, just for good measure you truly did kill all childhood magic
wills coming out scene has me so pissed off im thinking ab the pink ladies again
this show also takes place in a time where being queer was not safe (early-mid 50s), and yet this character comes out to a trusted loved one and is also met with unconditional support and care, and the show ends with a main character having a happy and fleshed out romance arc in addition to a personal arc of finding and accepting themselves
it’s the same scenario executed in almost the exact opposite manner. the stranger things writers could’ve done a better job, they just chose not to care about it the way it deserved.
immediately added to my list of things to watch to forget this disaster of a finale
