a world with more sparrows in it for you

Finally putting up an informational pinned post, at least until I make a really funny post to pin. This blog is a lot of things.

I try to tag spoilers, but never assume it's spoiler free here. Rule of thumb is that I tag spoilers for one week after the newest release of a show (including actual play) or a comic, and for one month for video games, novels, and films.

The following is a bit of a guide to the most relevant stuff you'll see right now. I'll be changing it up and updating as things come and go.

  • I liveblog Critical Role on Thursday nights. I generally tag with "#CR spoilers" or a more appropriate tag for other shows. I tag all CritRole thoughts with "#Critical Role things". I used to write meta more often in the past; you can find my meta under "#CR meta". I'm a Fjord fjan, and I stan the Star Razor as if it's its own character. Leave Fandom Wiki. Use Encyclopedia Exandria.
  • Listen to Midst! I use "#Midst Cosmos" as a catch-all tag. The podcast is tagged just "#Midst" with the other shows under their names, and ALL my personal Midst Cosmos posts go under "#Midst things". Unend spoilers are tagged "#Unend spoilers". I have Beacon, but I follow the public schedule, so do not send me spoilers from early access. Spahr is my favorite, and I'm very excited about where Merlin is heading.
  • I am nominally a fic writer. I have a billion WIPs but am notoriously bad at finishing them. Feel free to ask about them. My AO3 is located right here.

I can be sluggish to respond to asks due to a variety of factors, but don't be afraid to send me some, especially if you want to know my thoughts on a new development in a work I'm following. I think better when I'm answering a question or when working off a prompt.

If you enjoy my blog or my posts or my work you've encountered elsewhere and you want to materially support me, I have a ko-fi!

Jfc my blocklist is so long I don't remember why most of thesr people are on here

It would be nice to have block notes. Sometimes I'm just having a bad day and sometimes people are serial harassers. Who Knows.

This December was fucking rancid for discourse. I blocked people I agreed with just bc they were annoying me lol. I'll block a bitch on Yahoo Mail. I'll block a bitch on YouTube DMs.

[said with increasing amount of distress] i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this i got this

the “fuck canon everything is made up do whatever you want forever” approach to fandom can be fun in small doses but i find that subscribing a little too hard to that attitude can lead to this belief that serious engagement with and analysis of a text is an act of no fun self-flagellation when that couldn’t be further from the truth. analysis is literally fun
