i dont really plan on posting all too much but i rb funny things and horses i think (20+)

You there! Sad boy with a pull towards lesbianism that you can't explain! You've heard about trans women before, you know we exist. Do you feel you need permission to be one of us? Do you feel like you couldn't be a sister, despite all the signs pointing that way?

If so, consider this your permission.

Apparently ICE now has agents posing as utility workers to get into people's homes. The electric and gas companies have posted information on how to tell if it's one of their workers, and numbers to call to confirm whether they've sent someone to do utility work on your house.

Stay safe, friends.

the more i think about it the more transfeminine homestuck becomes. like our 2 "male" leads at the beginning of the story both have some narrative about their guardian figures either literally forcing or otherwise coercing them to perform a version of manhood that is violent and fucking sucks. Most of the male characters in homestuck in some way tie masculinity or success to their capacity to do violence and the narrative tells you it's desctructive and/or feels terrible. Every part of Dave's whole deal is telling you that his idea of manhood isn't his own, it's a farce he constructed to protect himself from the violent image of manhood his brother is trying to shape him into being, and the narrative tells you he sucks at being this violent person. i'm actually shocked people look at dave and thought "yeah he chose to be a boy" cause every part of his character is telling you his manhood is a performative farce that he both fails to perform correctly according to even his own mental image of it and hates performing.

It kinda shocked me when I first started talking about how 'androphobia' and 'misandry' are not appropriate things to identify with that many trans men interpreted this as if I was saying "trans men face 0 oppression" It makes more sense to me now, I guess. If someone conceptualizes their oppression entirely through the lens that men are an oppressed class then they will take any form of "transandrophobia is not real" and "transandrophobia is inherently tied to misogynist movements" as a complete denial of their oppression. I mean, as a trans man myself I'm very keenly aware of my oppression. I transitioned around the age of 27...the misgendering, the degendering, the patronizing from FITs (feminist identified transphobes), the cruelty of my own family persists to this day. I also remember living as a woman. The street harassment, the dismissal of every opinion I held, the assumption that I was stupid, a liar, incapable. The hiring discrimination that always made me wonder if it was me or my gender...the lower pay. Doctors not listening to me. God the sexual harassment, the death threats even in person, in public. And ALL of this? Dismissed by men who called me a femnazi and accused me of androphobia and misandry. The shift in my oppression since transitioning is palpable. I experience transphobia now. In Nevada I get yelled at many times for going into the men's restroom because I have long hair. But the street harassment? Gone. No sexual harassment. I get every job I interview for. I don't even have to ask for raises or promotions. My opinion is respected. I'm assumed to be knowledgeable even in areas I am not. Doctors do not question my pain. I am not fucking oppressed because I'm a man. No one is, and it's misogynist to claim otherwise.

"go outside" is really just an especially egregious response to trans women begging you to give a shit about transfeminism/stop parroting transmisogynistic talking points because it could not be a more direct statement about the absence of TMA people in your real word social circle. why don't you go back to the real world where all the people who actually matter don't ever have to worry about bigotry 🥰

is it a hot take to say that i think you need to understand why something is bad, not just that it simply is?

this is a part of the problem

you need to be able to explain why you shouldnt use ai rather than “oh well its obviously bad and you shouldnt use it or else youre a bad person” because that isn’t logic. “ai generates child porn based off of real children and whether or not it does is entirely up to how it is built and if pedophiles are able to find ways around those safeguards, because ai cannot in itself discern right from wrong” is a genuine criticism. “amazon tried to build a data center the size of tuson outside of tuson just to power their ai that would’ve increased the inability to stay alive outside in parts of arizona” is a genuine criticism. even “using generative ai teaches you not to learn how to do things yourself even when they’re difficult, devaluing necessary skills out of practice” is a genuine criticism when you look at the amount of people who think they are able of doing a difficult major when they couldnt write their own papers in high school.

but “ai is just bad because it’s bad” will convince no one and is a morally lazy position to take. about anything!

you need to know why reading someone’s diary is wrong if you want to learn about privacy and respect. you need to know why child sexual assault is wrong if you want to be able to help children form healthy age appropriate relationships. you need to know why capitalism is bad if you want to replace it with something else. you need actual concrete ideas and ideologies rather than “you should agree with me because i have the right vibe”

Avelo Airlines, the only commercial carrier believed to have been operating full deportation flights on a regular basis for the Trump administration, is ending its relationship with Immigration and Customs Enforcement and will no longer charter those deportations.

The budget carrier signed an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security in April 2025 to operate ICE flights out of Arizona, drawing immediate protests and calls to boycott.

At the time, the airline acknowledged the decision may be controversial but said it was expected to support company expansion and job protection. However, after less than a year since inking the deal, Avelo has admitted that the program became too costly and complex to continue.

CEO Andrew Levy acknowledged the backlash in an email to employees late Tuesday.

“We moved a portion of our fleet into a government program which promised more financial stability but placed us in the center of a political controversy,” Levy wrote in the email, obtained by CNBC.

“The program provided short-term benefits but ultimately did not deliver enough consistent and predictable revenue to overcome its operational complexity and costs.” (aph)

KEEP PROTESTING AND KEEP MOBILIZING. IT WORKS. IT IS NOT HOPELESS AND IT WORKS.

Except, critically, at bedtime.

Ravings and urges get miscoded over time. Let’s say you’re thirsty, and you live in a strawberry field. Strawberries contain some water and a bunch of sugar so, over time, you may start to crave strawberries when you are thirsty because you get a reward and some relief in shorter time from the need starting than the trek to the stream. This can happen for every need: sleep, food, whatever.

Trevor Noah has a great tip, that when he craves ice cream at night he breaks it down into parts: I want something cold, I want something sweet. He drinks a glass of cold water then waits to see if he still has the ice cream craving. Usually he doesn’t.

So listening to your body isn’t “follow every urge” but “decompose the urge to discover the underlying need.”

If you always feel like getting cozy in bed you may be: cold, dehydrated, and/or malnourished (maybe a need for high calories that are bioaccessible…not processed).

If you do not feel tired at bedtime you may: need to eat dinner earlier because your body is still digesting, need to exercise or go outside more during the day, get the fuck off your screen for an hour so your brain can enter sleep mode.

Hope this helps someone.

P.S. notice i said nothing about neurodivergence. Not that it’s not a likelihood but the over-pathologization of behaviors prevents us from taking simple actions to improve our wellbeing. Also, these tips are pretty accessible and applicable to most brain variations.

i got home from therapy and had a vision and i ran to go and make this as fast as i could.

Transfeminism isnt niche internet discourse if the FBI is telling a transfeminist author to stop publishing

Deadass people need to act on this
