• Sess is focused on his phone while walking, bumps into Kagome and spills coffee on her dress (fashion event, bridesmaid, something important or fancy, etc). She's angry. He's dismissive.
• Kags wins a giveaway to have her home professionally decorated. Interior Decorator Sess is an ass about her personal taste.
• Sesshoumaru needs help and the only priestess he knows that will probably not screw him over is Kagome
• Sesshoumaru is spy saves Kagome from like a strike/raid/set up gone wrong or something, bonus points if he was undercover as a blue collar job like dock worker, security guard etc
• Sesshoumaru in hiding in the modern age but runs into Kagome and she recognizes him so he tries to avoid her but they keep running into each other anyway

• A gift that keeps on giving and giving and giving oh god make it stop
• (post canon) They happen upon each other speed dating, and both of them are horrified.
• (post canon) They accidentally reconnect through a dating app and don't realize its each other until the first date.
• Kagome has a new, elusive neighbor, so curious to meet him, she keeps ordering stuff and having it "accidentally" sent to his house.
• You dissed the book I was reading and spoiled the ending
• My cat keeps escaping to hang out at your house and he's fully made himself at home
• Oops looks like I keyed the wrong car

The theme of January are two opposite tropes that are familiar to us from all the good romcoms! Meet-cutes and meet-uglies both describe scenarios where our respective love interests meet each other for the first time, often in a memorable manner. Whether that meeting is sweet, romantic and full of those warm fluffy feelings, or an unfortunate mishap or other less than auspicious beginning... well, that remains to be seen.
