Sweden, Norway and Germany are deploying troops for a reconnaissance mission in Greenland.

People in the comments going โ€˜No need to worry, they only sent 20 peopleโ€™ as if thatโ€™s not the very fucking obvious plan.

Seriously, it's very clear what's happening here.

They're human shields.

There is no force that NATO could deploy to Greenland that could successfully repel an American invasion.

What they're doing is making a statement: if you want to take Greenland, you have to kill our soldiers too. You will not be going to war with Denmark, you will be going to war with all of us.

This is making it clear to the Trump administration that there will be no political hemming and hawing, there will be no debate over whether they'll respond to Article 5 being invoked. An attack on Greenland is an attack on all of these nations, because it literally will be.

So think twice.

the more i interact with a wider array of people the more i come to understand that the majority of the world genuinely just doesn't register indigenous people as existing living human beings and cultures. like we just don't exist. we're not in stories movies books people aren't friends with us people have never even met one of us before they don't even register that we do things. the nas committee was floored at my suggestion of promoting NA scholarships. they literally forgot that actual living native americans exist outside of the abstract. or that we go to school. or that they would ever meet one of us. come on

one side of the Drunk Indian stereotype that i think a lot of people dont ever see is how its used to kill us. deaths arent investigated because its assumed "well they were drunk" (see: starlight tours, but also many other deaths) and medical professionals dont help us or assume we're lying about not drinking and dont treat us to punish us for it. some of the worst things ive heard from people who think all natives are drunkards has been from EMTs and ER staff. so how do you think it goes for the ntv when they have to treat an indigenous person :/

#same w drugs for Black natives as well #they had me on a needle count when I first started cus we mobbed up to the pharmacy #had to wait til I got a Black pharmacist to see they wrote I was a needle risk in my script notes ( tags from @mettaworldpiece )

โ˜๏ธโ˜๏ธโ˜๏ธโ˜๏ธโ˜๏ธ yes. ive seen drugs come up at times too in many forms from needle counts to doctors calling people "junkies" for requesting the pain medication they were prescribed. but this is doubly worse for Black natives.

and i particularly want to put a pin in those who are unable to access any available indian health services programs because of tribal policys antiblackness. IHS is one of the biggest ways i feel natives can take back power in the medical patient space, but blood quantum and ongoing exclusion of freedman descendants often deny citizenship to Black natives and in doing so deny them access to tribal resources like IHS

the pharmacy is a huge site for gatekeeping and discrimination... and they looove getting to weaponize how public a pharmacy is too to shame you into compliance. pharmacists have a lot of power over you and its easy to forget what role they play in determining what medical help you "really need." and so much of this all happens behind the scenes, in file notes youre not allowed to access or are kept in the dark about despite it literally being About You

every time I think about Dilbert I think about this comic and how the question being asked is Not Stupid and its answer is genuinely interesting and arguably very important information anyone using a computer should know

gender affirming care should never be seen as a reward for good behavior

And no one should have to perform a trans stereotype in front of shitty doctors just to get gender affirming care

Hate it when TikTok farm cosplayers and cottagecore types say stuff like "I'm not going to use modern equipment because my grandmothers could make do without it." Ma'am, your great grandma had eleven children. She would have killed for a slow cooker and a stick blender.

Iโ€™ve noticed a sort of implicit belief that people used to do things the hard way in the past because they were tougher or something. In reality, labor-saving devices have historically been adopted by the populace as soon as they were economically feasible. No one stood in front of a smoky fire or a boiling pot of lye soap for hours because they were virtuous, they did it because it was the only way to survive.

Hello ๐Ÿ™‹

My name is Maram, I am 25 years old from Gaza. I dreamed of a peaceful life, spending my life with my husband and my three children... but the war turned this dream into an impossible one ๐Ÿ’”๐Ÿ˜ญ. We lived through this genocide with all its painful details and we are still suffering from it๐Ÿ˜ญ. We were so happy when the ceasefire was announced, and we returned to our homes in northern Gaza after being displaced for a year and a half in a tent in the south of the Gaza Strip. After repairing a small room in our destroyed house, we began to live there and start over. Unfortunately, the war came back, and it was even stronger than before ๐Ÿ’”. Now, we have no shelter or source of income. We have used up all our savings during the war. I know I created my campaign very late, but that's because I have no other means to help my family ๐Ÿ™. I am completely confident and hopeful that someone here will help us as much as they can and save my family in these tough circumstances ๐Ÿ˜”.

I know how painful and frustrating it is to start over from scratch, but I hope to get any amount for my family ๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿ™.
So, please, donate to my campaign, even if it's a small amountโ€”it will have a big impact on us ๐Ÿฅบ. May God bless you, my friend ๐Ÿฅฐโค๏ธ.

The new autistic Barbie is making a bunch of level 1/low support autistic people just come out of the woodwork to just openly talk about how they just hate the idea of level 2 or 3/high support needs autistic girls just having any scrap of positive attention. They have such weird internalized issues with even being seen as in the same community with people who need more support than them.

Itโ€™s not a neutral thing that every โ€˜redesignโ€™ or โ€˜fixedโ€™ version of the doll from level 1/low support autistic people gets rid of her disability aids, specifically her AAC device.

This is a doll specifically meant for level 2 or 3/high support autistic girls, a doll to make them feel seen because the rest of society is so hostile to them. The fact some people saw these girls getting one scrap of positive representation and then got mad because it wasnโ€™t about them really says a lot about how people donโ€™t even consider these girls as humans worthy of respect and kindness.
