WOOOOOOHOOOOO!!! Chapter 5 is finally out! That took me wayyyy too long to write but boy oh boy did I have a lot of fun!!!!

i love this detail nico notices about how "apollo had contributed the calmer half of will's personality." nico spent a decent amount of time around apollo in toa and witnessed apollo being super over-the-top and dramatic, so this is saying A LOT.

Court of the Dead Review

This will be spoiler free above the cut, and I'll dive into some spoilers below the cut. (this is really long)

First things first! I enjoyed this book! I think it took a while to really pick up, but I still had a lot of fun reading the first half. It's so great to see how much Nico has grown, he's so different from the hurt 10/11 year old he started as, but he's healing and I love that.

It's also great to see Camp Jupiter! I've always been a Camp Half-Blood person, but hey- I can stand a bit of the Roman camp sometimes.

That's most of what I can say before getting into spoilers... So I'll end this section by saying that I understand Rick and Marc's comments on the book now- because there were some hilarious scenes, absolutely bonkers. I laughed really hard, especially during the final battle.

so imagine a will solace, dark eyebags, tangled blonde hair, smells like literal blood, and severly sleep-deprived, walking out to be immediately spooked by a hand gripping his shoulder.

now imagine a nico di angelo who menacingly grips on his boyfriend's shoulder, whispering with a low voice, "William Andrew Solace." and continuing with "when. was. the. last. time. you. slept?"

now imagine nico putting a protesting will to bed and glaring at the apollo cabin. giving a goodnight kiss and when he leaves he looks behind to already see will snoring.

Considering Will's light powers I am pretty sure he also discovers he can turn invisible at one point.

So that makes Solangelo and Percabeth the only two couples who can get freaky at camp. Percy and Nico having their own cabin with no other campers and Will and Annabeth being able to turn invisible so just saying lol. That happens to be the bane of Chiron's existence after a while but they keep going.
