I think it'd be funny if April doesn't find out that Delia is Ash's mom for a long time. Delia's not trying to hide it or anything, it's just that Ash had to get their tendency to not talk about themselves unless directly prompted from somewhere. Plus revealing herself to be Ash Ketchum's mother while she's staying in Lumiose City of all places probably wouldn't be a good idea.

You'd think Gallade would be a dead giveaway that she has some connection to Ash, but April's not from this world and thus doesn't have any of the context for Mutant Pokemon. (I mean it's not like Ash would've had any reason to tell her about their Gardevoir's past). It helps that they've been around for a while at this point, enough that there are now some trainers who have them, so anyone who's aware of how strange it is for her to have a Mutant Gallade would probably just assume the League's entrusted her with him (granted, they technically wouldn't be wrong) and thus wouldn't make the connection either.

Oh I love that!! It does make a nice bit of sense, too. Accepted, lol.

Gralenor / Episode Z-A Teams

Well, such as they are, given it only just started (and in terms of the in-universe timeline technically hasn't started yet and won't until early November)

Ash

-Still rotating the team a lot, but they're trying to stay at least a little inconspicuous for Various Reasons (and give the inevitable newcomers some time to acclimate)

Pikachu -Obviously

Oshawott

Splatink The Graffiti Pokemon Water/Fighting Ability: Color Change

Tama

Active: Absol

Little (Pichu) Ability: Uninsulated- Ignores the Ground-Type's immunity to Electric-Type Moves (new Hidden Ability for the Pichu Line) -The younger of the Pichu Brothers

Tagalong: Hoopa -In Reserve (as far as official matches are concerned) until the fifth Gym

Big (Pichu) -The elder of the Pichu Brothers

Magcargo

Bonnie

-Recently became a Trainer and coincidentally decided to start with Gralenor's Gym Circuit, which technically makes her and Tama rivals -She's here instead of Kalos both because she already went on a journey there when she was with Ash and because of Prism Tower (which is both one of the Gyms and technically her house) being in the middle of renovations as part of the whole Urban Development thing

Dedenne -Now her official Starter

Squishy (Zygarde) -Very Specifically sticking to 10% Forme and not using any of its Signature Moves in official matches, at least until they start hitting challenges that actually warrant more of its power

Team Rocket's teams are currently unchanged.

Delia

Mimey (Mr. Mime) Ability: Soundproof -Of course he's coming he's the only Pokemon she actually canonically has

Mutant Gallade The Vicious Pokemon Poison/Dragon Ability: Glittering Scales- Ignores the Fairy Type's Immunity to Dragon Type Moves -Tagged along to help protect her (since Mimey's not much of a battler) -...And to get a break from Squirtle's Mega Stone experiments

April

Chikorita Ability: Overgrow -She got him more-or-less the same way you do in-game

SMG Side Story: Episode Z-A

A Pokemon Anime-style adaptation of Legends Z-A taking place during Ash and Tama's journey through Gralenor (so probably starting a few weeks from now).

Delia takes a trip to Kalos, accompanied by CPU (he's not fully recovered, but he was getting a bit antsy staying on the Code Train (our man is not beating the workaholic allegations) and getting him out and about to a degree was a good excuse for Delia to finally do the same for herself), and the two quickly get caught up in the strange happenings of modern Lumiose City.

They, along with a mysterious girl named April (who the audience will recognize as Archie in her cursed form, but the other two have never actually met before), join Team MZ and work with them to conquer all the challenges the city has to offer. Delia and April enter the Z-A tournament (and April gets enlisted as Director Mable's newest research assistant), while CPU helps out at both Hotel Z and the Looker Bureau (he can't join in on the tournament since he's not a Trainer, seeing as the whole "character-level entities can't normally survive in code-level servers" thing would make keeping any Pokemon a bit difficult).
