Copyright should end when a company stops selling the original piece of media

Or 50 years after publication, whichever is first

I'm sorry but if I can't watch a movie or play a game legally, then it shouldn't be piracy to do so

Take Pokemon Emerald, that game is no longer sold by Nintendo*, and they have no plans to rerelease it, so why should I who wants to play this game, have to commit something technically a crime to play it?

And this gets more important for less famous pieces of media that didn't sell millions of copies, where copyright fundamentally exists in a manner which blocks preservation and access

your quoigenic plurality in of itself is special, and does not need any explanation. it is perfectly okay and wonderful to be who you are and to live in the moment.

your existence is not, and will never be, inherently bigoted. you are more than fine with existence, your existence does not cause inherent harm. you are more than fine to exist, i promise.

My child, who spends their entire life being transfered from home to car to school and back, and is not allowed to leave the house or talk to anyone and can only in their wildest dreams imagine a life free from constant surveillance, is very sad. Obviously they're dumb and lazy, like all kids these days.

kind of a tangent but i recently went to a bowling alley with my friend i'm 19 he's 18 and the woman at the door didn't want to let us in because there was a sign saying under-18s needed adult supervision. everything got cleared up and we were able to go bowl, but i'm still so mad about the fact that kids need adult supervision to go to a bowling alley and arcade. like okay maybe young kids should have supervision but what do you mean middle and high schoolers need to hold mommy's hand while they play video games. kids aren't just addicted to their phones because phones are addicting, we're addicted to our phones because there's nothing else to fucking do

I'm sure banning kids from online spaces while simultaneously not ensuring that they have access to offline spaces to socialize in (without having to rely on their parents who already don't have time for them) will help them feel better & less alienated from society.

“you are. stealink…. my nuts…”

the thing is depression was never destigmatized the narrative just switched from “no one has depression you’re just using it as an excuse” to “everyone has depression you’re just using it as an excuse”

why watch big budget hollywood action movies when you can just watch japanese children’s shows

Crazy how much of that was just one, continuous shot.

#the state of western action films is just embarrassing #bourne has a lot to answer for

Man, the TV critics all lost their shit over Mr. Robot’s uber-prestige Sam Esmail gimmick episodes, but meanwhile sentai can just do this, no prestige needed. See also: One Cut of the Dead.

Also the way they didn’t even bother justifying or disguising the safety crash pad is admirable. More shows should do that.

Also, props to them for making everyone look competent. Yeah, it’s clear that the heroes would wipe the floor with any of the villains in a one-on-one fight, but the villains aren’t actually trying to defeat them: they dramatically outnumber the heroes, and all they need to do (apparently) is for one of them to get away with the MacGuffin, and that’s a much more tenable goal. Having the extended action sequence also be an intense game of keep-away makes it much more interesting than your typical “everyone beats each other up” fight

it's okay to let yourself feel anger. anger is not an evil emotion and you are not evil for experiencing it, regardless of how often or easily you experience it. what matters is your actions. it's okay to be angry.

it's perfectly okay to be nervous about your source changing, especially if the changes are rather big. change can be so hard to adapt to, and your feelings about it are valid.

transfeminine introjects are inherently transfeminine, regardless of who or what their source is. sources do not negate your identity, and that is true regardless of how source connected you are.
