whenever i google something and the "Your Search Returned 0 (Zero) Results You Idiot" yeti appears, I go into the inspect element HTML tree and delete their limbs one by one

die you stupid bitch

honestly discord removing the four digit id code at the end of usernames still remains as one of the most baffling things any site has done with their usernames. not having to have every user find a unique name for themselves seems like such a logical thing to allow with how big many sites are, and discord had the system in place since the beginning. but apparently that's too confusing and making the entire userbase select a new name is in fact the best solution. insane behavior

i think it's great when someone tries to pull off a tragic self-sacrifice in a story and there's at least one guy who's just like "no this is fucking stupid actually. you're an idiot." about it. because it kind of is. i love a good tragedy but let's be honest with ourselves if a friend tried to indulge a noble sacrifice fantasy would you not be a little annoyed. like come on man.

tutorial for drawing characters with cleft lip! sorry that it's mostly unilateral-centric but it makes up the vast majority of resources and photos. still tried to get tips for drawing bilateral clefts in though.

please keep in mind that this is an introductory drawing tutorial and has some generalizations in it, so not every “X is Z” statement will be true for Actual People : )

if you draw any characters using this feel free to tag me!!

manchineel perfec t place for rest under in rain

RATING: 🟢 RELIABLE 🟢

Manchineel do fit the description here. There are noted for being sweet smelling and tasting, with a large stone insisde.

From Britannica: 'The sweet-scented fruits are borne singly or in pairs and range in color from yellow to reddish. The fruit contains a hard stone that encloses six to nine seeds.'

The most common reaction to ingestion seems to be oral blistering with burning sensation, rather than numbness. However, as this individual claims to have licked and not eaten any, this could account for the descrepancy.

From Britannica: 'Consumption of the fruits is potentially lethal and frequently causes burnlike blisters in the mouth and esophagus.'

Whether it's the most deadly fruit in the world is difficult to say, as there isn't enough data on the subject, but it is highly toxic and frequently considered one of most deadly. Howstuffworks claims the species is 'Known as the most dangerous tree in the world.'

It is often called the death apple tree, apparently named by Spanish invadors.

From Howstuffworks.com: 'The manchineel's small apple-like fruit definitely won't keep the doctor away — it packs such a poisonous punch that the Spanish conquistadors called it the manzanilla de la muerte or little apple of death. This ominous name may sound extreme, but history shows that indigenous peoples used the sap to poison their arrows and contaminate the water supply of the invading Spaniards.'

It is also true that sitting under it during rain can cause harm to skin.

From Britannica: 'The milky sap of the leaves and bark contains an irritating chemical called phorbol, which generates a strong allergic skin reaction. Raindrops falling through the tree can collect phorbol and burn a person standing underneath.'

The claim that 'manchineel perfec t place for rest under in rain' is subjective. Humans may not enjoy the burning skin element, but the striped iguana might think it's the perfect place for a rest, as they're immune to toxic elements of tree.

From Howstuffworks.com: "And it provides a safe home and full belly for one lucky reptile — the garrobo, or striped iguana of Central and South America. Immune to its poison, the garrobo has the tree all to itself."

Plants do this thing where they want their seeds distributed by certain animals that will do a good job at distributing without destroying the seeds.

Peppers are hot to mammals because mammals chew and grind seeds but a bird will gulp the soft pepper seeds and distribute it, thus birds are immune to capsaicin. (If you feed chickens peppers they will be happy and give you eggs with reddish yolks)

Peppers are for birds, the plant made them for the birds and tries to make that clear. Humans were…bizarrely the opposite of deterred.

Manchineel fruit are for garrabo only. Exclusive relationship between tree and lizard and this tree sets very clear boundaries.

the “sexy lamp test” but for disabled folks: if you can replace your disabled character with a beloved pet dog that needs an expensive surgery to survive then you have to throw out your manuscript
