People don’t really talk about it, but there were actually two suicide towers on the dsmp
Opposites in many ways.
Tommy was ultimately a kind character, at the center of trouble-starting, violent persona. Foolish had a vow of pacifism, barely containing his sharp, unyielding interior. Tommy was loyal and held friendship above everything. Foolish never had an ally he didn’t consider betraying.
You could see it in their builds, too. Tommy’s house was griefed every other day, but was lived in and loved. They were small and ugly and haphazard, but everyone remembers the bench. But Foolish’s builds were beautiful. They were grand and untouchable and totally empty. No one hardly knew about any of them.
Tommy lost everything. Over and over and over again. His home, his friends, his life, his discs— all of it gone, until at the end, he found himself. Foolish slowly accumulated absolutely everything he ever wanted. Netherite and totems and shulkers and power— he pursued it relentlessly, attaining it all. And none of it mattered.
One jumped. One didn’t. Both of them were pushed to suicide by their respective version (Dream and DreamXD), but for totally different purposes. Tommy was in distress, hopeless, and trying to die. Foolish was elated and triumphant— he was trying to be reborn.
