Some Miscellaneous Ghoulie Headcanons!
• Water ghouls tend to have naturally long, flowy 'mermaid' hair.
• Quintessence Ghouls are always sparkly or shimmery, some of them shed their sparkles like crazy. Omega and Delta's sparkles are silvery, Aether's are white and Phantom's are gold.
• All the air ghouls, plus Victory/Sunshine and Phantom have wings. The air ghoul's wings are generally rendered small and/or too weak to use because of how they are summoned topside. Victory has little bug-like wings that she can still use topside but not as effectively as in the pits, she's very fluttery and has trouble controlling where she's flying, kinda like a beetle. Phantom's little bat wings, and Zephyr's wings have never worked, pits or topside.
• As a deepsea water ghoul, Chain has very good scotopic vision so he can see well in the dark, but has very poor color vision. His room is incredibly dark and very blue so he can enjoy it.
• Because she's a copper ghoulette, Venus/Haze's horns and parts of her skin oxidize and develop patina, that brown/green film.
• Venus is the current 'nail girl' of the band and ministry, the other ghouls and siblings line up outside her door to get their nails done. She's has a impressive collection of nail polish and gems and dangles considering how new she is, is the best at really intricate nail art, and she taught herself how to do the 'fancier', more professional stuff like acrylics!
• Phantom makes such little noise when he moves around, it's not audible to humans. He has bells on his tail bc he was accidentally sneaking up on siblings and Papa alike and scaring them out of their skin.
• Mist is the water ghoul that spends the most time in the lake and she will lure people to the lake shore just to pull them in for giggles. Alpha is her most frequent victim because she thinks it's funny when he's mad and wet, and he hasn't learned not to get to close to the water when she's calling for him.
• A lot of the air ghouls, being very birdlike, struggle with seeing glass, but Cirrus and Zephyr tend to have it the worst. They're constantly slamming into doors amd windows.
• Zephyr can mimic almost any sound with scary accuracy.
• Sunshine does glass blowing and wire sculpture. She likes to make jewelry, suncatchers, and wind chimes for Cirrus and Cumulus.
• Cumulus and Sunshine were both operatically trained by Ligeia {the chamber ghoulette vocalist} and now they all sing in the ministry's choir together!
