Henderhop headcanon that El isn’t a big fan of completely dark rooms and confined spaces because it reminds her of the deprivation tank so when she sleeps at night she usually leaves a lamp on and when Dustin noticed he got a whole bunch of glow in the dark stars that he put on her ceiling making real constellations (completely accurate because he’s a closet astronomy nerd) so that she not only had the light but also could feel like she was under the open sky.
