Tango, being a walking space heater and also a dad, gives the best hugs and cuddles! Sometimes the other Hermits ask him to be their cuddle buddy when they’re having trouble sleeping because he’s so cozy. Tango likes to grumble about it but has yet to say no or turn down a hug! (They’ll also use this to trick him into getting some sleep when he’s been overworking himself but don’t tell him.)

Since Gem is a shape shifter she'll occasionally get stuck in random forms on accident and hermits end up finding random creatures just staring at them sadly until they go help when they realize it's Gem. One time Pearl tried to tame a wolf before noticing it was Gem and ended up cuddling with puppy Gem on the couch until she was able to shift back.

Another time Gem had turned into a zombie and could only talk in grunts and groans and was terrified of being murdered so she went to Cleo's, who saw a random zombie that looked vaguely like either Gem or herself and when they went up to it, it started crying because she kept burning herself in the sun on the walk over and Cleo ended up getting her inside and treating her burns while they waited for Gem to be able to shift back

There was also what hermits refer to as The Goose Incident. We don't talk about it. Grian is still in therapy for it.

Gem does not own a flint and steel, and never has. Instead, unbeknownst to Firefighter Pearl, she has a pet Pygmy Dragon named Pepper. Who she tickles whenever she wants to light something on fire.

However, every so often, Pepper the Pygmy Dragon gets the hiccups, or a cough, or even just the sniffles (as one does), and chaos ensues. Pearl is beginning to wonder why Gem sets her own base on fire nearly as often as she lights up Pearl’s.

Grian mother hens everyone (cause EVO) and it's either adorable or annoying. Adorable when you see him mother henning someone else and annoying when you're the one being mother henned.

So far, Xisuma has been the biggest 'victim' because being in close proximity to Grian means you can't hide issues and will be jumped if he suspects a lack of self-care (and Xisuma thought Keralis was bad). Grian keeps a running total as well. So far, he has had to mother hen Xisuma 38 times and the other Hermit that's the closest is Doc with 12 times.

The good thing is they usually end in cuddles, which Grian is very good at.

Arcitecture isn't the only thing Cleo uncovers. More often than not, she digs up armour trims, pottery shards, seeds, you name it, she found it.

Recently, she's been giving them as repayment for favours, but she's planning on wrapping some for a few Christmas presents.

Pearl refuses to wear anything other than shorts even though it's freezing and there's snow and she cannot handle the cold to save her goddamn life

This makes the dads all very worried for her and they have tried every possible idea they've had to get her to wear pants only for Gem to walk up, ask nicely with a little "please, Pearlie?" and Pearl to immediately agree

Gem hasn't stopped making fun of them for this and Pearl will only ever wear a cute pair of sweatpants that Gem sewed for her because all other pants don't reach her ankles and she hates it

Voidwalkers purr when they are happy. Xisuma constantly does this when hanging around his Hermits, so mush so that he sometimes has to force himself to stop so he can speak. It’s a comforting background noise for nearly every Hermits to hear.

XB is a cuddle bug. Sometimes, he'll just go flop himself over onto Hypno or Keralis and won't leave until they give him attention. It doesn't matter that they are both probably in the middle of projects and Hypno is whining about having things to do, he wants cuddles and he'll get them one way or another.

Grian is incredibly clingy. Gem or Pearl will just be doin base stuff and POOF he's there attatched to her arm.

This also means he sleeps in other people's bases a lot, but not in their bedroom. Just in random hidey holes.

Etho will never tell Grian and the others when his birthday is until they guess right.

He likes it when they visit, and the cake is nice too. Etho honestly loves every attempt, enjoying himself in his friends' presence and company.

Grian is a sock gremlin but only for Scar,Mumbo, and Gem. He then puts the socks in other people's bases. That's it.

Impulse knows how to braid hair.

Nothing fancy—just a simple little French braid—but it gets the job done and looks nice enough. Gem found this out by accident one day when she was complaining about her hair being in her face while she was working on a build, and Impulse just said “here let me help” and started to fold one strand of curly red locks over the other, being very careful not to pull too hard or cause her pain. The resulting braid was very neat and tidy and kept her hair nicely out of her face, and Gem was absolutely flabbergasted.

She now uses this as a cheat code to get Impulse away from his work. “Hey Impulse can you braid my hair for me” is code for “get out of the noodles, I want to spend time with you.” And it works. Every time. Because Impulse likes to feel helpful, and he always needs something to do with his hands.

Gem has since taught the cheat code to Pearl—who also has very long and very braid-able hair—and now both of them use it for evil.

Grian likes to nest in Mumbo’s base the most, but when he can’t he goes to Gem, then Pearl or even scar

Whenever a new hermit is added, they host a small event called “show and tell” where the new hermit makes a presentation about what type of Hybrid they are, what that entails, and show off a few cool powers they have. It’s a great icebreaker and makes sure people are aware of any possible problems/drawbacks that Hermit may experience. Here are few fun things that have happened at Show & Tell:

- Everyone expected Pearl to just fly when she did her talent since she’s a Moth hybrid, and originally that was the plan. However right before she could do it Grian turned off the lights in the room, revealing the fact she glows in the dark!

- Joe redid his Show and Tell in S10 because in his own words “there’s a lot more to being a puppet than people realize!”

- Joel did an entire presentation on being a Tanuki Hybrid before suprising all the non lifers by shapeshifting. He then did his actual presentation on being a Fae.

- Thanks to Doc there is a ban on showing off Talents that may resort to bodily harm to the audience (he claimed being a cyborg was part of his species and then used his lazer eye to demonstrate)

- No one knows exactly what Xisuma is because Show & Tell started in S2.

- Usually the humans have a relatively boring presentation, except Mumbo. Despite claiming he was human, his fun facts did NOT line up with how people actually work (claiming humans eat redstone when it’s toxic, saying humans only need an hour of sleep to comfortably function, etc)

Doc and cleo know each other from before hermitcraft.

Doc set out to do a Frankenstein type thing, but did not consider that if you use a preexisting brain, youre sorta just reviving someone. He was so focused on whether he could he didnt think about like any of the consequences.

So it was very awkward when Cleo woke up and was a pretty much just a person he revived without their memories. There was a lot of confusion and surprise, but once the initial shock wore off, Doc helped make Cleo a body that suited them better, gave them some money and clothes, and helped them forge an identity to go out in the world and have a new life

They were both very surprised when they both ran into each other on hermitcraft, but it was a good surprise.

And thats why Cleo sarcastically calls Doc "dad"
